When killing flies with a swatter, I always aim about 2" in the direction they are facing, because when they takeoff, they have to go forwards. Get'm most every time! Try it, it works.

What do bats do to find their home?
Through the chimney is one usual way, overhangs on your roof that have a hole in them, ridge vents on your house with even a small hole, basically anywhere that you have a hole leading to your attic or interior of your house.
