If you want to keep it, put it in a big container or cage with very high walls so that it doesnt jump out. You can feed it crickets, mealworms, or something that they recommend in tehe pet store. Make sure that the frog has some kind of heat source ( it could just be a plain old lamp shining over it) so that it can digest it's food properly. Make sure that the cage has a big body of water in it and a large rock or something that the frog can climb up on when it need to breathe. Also, NEVER use tap water in the cage unless you use some type of chemical to get the chlorine out. You can use river/creek water or you can simply collect rain water in a container.
If this is too difficult (its difficult) then just let the frog go near a body of water or where tyou found it.

How do tadpoles get in the pool?
You can always buy tadpoles and a pet store, and put them in your pond. I am sure that it will also happen naturally.
"Build a pond and they will come," or something like that. If there are frogs in your neighborhood they will find your pond.
I would suggest, though, that you do not turn tadpoles that you bought in a pet store loose in your pond. When they turn into frogs they may become an "invasive species" and upset the balance of your eco-system. Some frogs eat other frogs and even birds. (www.rosepond.com)

We have 3 pet African Dwarf Frogs. They are the cutiest things ever...today while getting ready to feed them, we noticed one of them choking on a rock. My wife happened to see him gobble the rock, it in his mouth and appeared to be going down his throat, he was shuttering and choking on the thing. In 15 seconds it was all over and he managed to cough it up. We normally feed him microscopic pellets. I bet the rock was the size of 20 pellets. Don't know what possessed him to try to down the thing. They are not the brightest creatures.
I read somewhere that frogs can die by eating rocks, as they can't pass them out.
next time we change the bowl, we'll change out the rocks and put in bigger rock.
