They sure can. It's quite rare though, and only happens when there's something disgusting in the tank (Dead fish) or if the water conditions are bad enough.
Their form of vomit is a white substance that they eject from their rear, and it lingers in the water for a while before being sucked up by the filter or settling on the bottom.
Once again, this shouldn't happen often.
Why is my black moor goldfish dead?
What?
Answer... Black moors are very susceptible to dirty water, and can die if the water isn't kept clean. See related link below.
Of course they can. Whether you're allowed to put them in the lake is a different matter, and I guess it depends what else is in the lake. But yes, they can survive and live in lakes.
yes because it is freshwater fish

How long to leave light on for Goldfish?
Goldfish do not need their tank light on for more than 6 hours. Unless you have a lot of live plants in your tank, leaving the light on for a long time will result in an increase in algae in your tank. If you begin to see an algae bloom, then you're best to leave the light off for several days.
What does it mean when your goldfish are at the bottom of the tank?
My Fantail Goldfish did that alot the first time I got him. I think it might be that they need to relax or they might be scared.
What Can kill a betta fish other than a betta fish?
Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
Do betta fish need fish tanks or fish bowls?
Yes they will be happy because they can sleep in the plants and on the gravel. But the fish tank should be large for the fish so it has more room.I would get a large fish tank at petco they are a good price and work GREAT.

Males are slender, and are larger than the females about 2 times larger, the females look a little like a platy their fins are much smaller than a males. How many goldfish can you put in a 30 gallon tank?
I wouldn't recommend putting more than one or two. 28 liters is not that big. Goldfish are very dirty fish and need a large tank and a good filter. Te smallest tank I would put goldfish in is 40 liters (10 Gallons). Even that is pushing it.
Why is the fish tank still cloudy after the filter is changed?
Particles (either of algae, bacteria, or waste) that cloud the water are too small for most conventional filter pads to collect, as they are more intended for larger waste. First one must determine the root cause of the cloudiness to properly treat the condition. Easiest way is to determine color, length of tank operation, recent changes to decor, inhabitants or other factors.
This depends on the size of your tank. They can grow as large as ten inches in a pond. I purchased a feeder golfish 8 years ago and today in my ten gallon tank she is around 5 inches.
Can a goldfish live with a pacstamus?
I am guessing that you mean a Plecostomus. The answer is NO. Each of the species needs totally different conditions. Goldfish are cold water fish and suffer when the temperature goes over 75F. Plecostomus are tropical fish and suffer when the temperature goes below 75F. They will both survive for a while in one anothers parameters but eventually they will die from living in the wrong conditions.

my goldfish was a fin-nipper that's why it killed it because the goldfish ripped a fin off of the betta so do not put betta fish with goldfish because you never no if the goldfish is a betta.
Can a common goldfish swim with a comet goldfish?
No fancy goldfish should not be housed with the more common varieties of goldfish because common goldfish are more aggressive and can swim faster which in turn would result in competition over food causing the fancy goldfish to become stressed and more susceptible to disease. Also common goldfish may damage the fancy goldfish's delicate fins by nipping at them.
This (above) may be true in some cases, but I have a 15' x 8' outdoor pond with 2 fancy goldfish, 2 Sarassa Comets (goldfish) and 2 common goldfish and they all get along fine with each other as well as with my 2 Koi. I watch them eat and everyone gets enough, although the fancies are timid when it comes to getting the food. I wait until the others have eaten alot and throw out more food in their direction. Both my fancies are huge and the biggest I have ever seen anywhere.
What is the green slime growing on your fish tank?
That sounds like my tank. If you have a filter then you need to replace or clean it on a regular basis. You may need to remove the fish from the tank and clean it. If you do then take some water from the tank that the fish are in and put it in another container. Take the fish out of their tank and put them in their old water in the new container. Drain all the old water out of the tank and rinse/wash all the rocks, gravel, plants, and other things that were in the tank. Wash the walls of the tank. Make sure that you rinse any soap off of the tank and the rocks and stuff before you put new water back in it. Fill the tank with clean water. You may need to treat the water for chlorine if you used city tap water. Do not put the fish back into the tank until the new water temperature is the same as the water they are in now. We don't want them to go into shock. You may want to buy a sucker fish and a couple of snails. They will eat the alge that grows on the glass and everything else. Good luck. I have to go clean my tank. Thanks for reminding me.
How long must the tap water sit before using it to change a Betta fish tank?
However, if you do NOT have any tap water dechlorinator, then let the water sit for 48 hours (or at least 24 hours) to get rid of the chlorine and other harmful chemicals in the tap water.

You can tell the difference between male and female fish by a female wouldn't have as colorful gills as a male would or if you still can't tell the female would be a slight bigger than the male
How long can my goldfishes live if I change the water everyday but don't have filter?
Not very long. In order for your goldfish to have a good environment and long life, you must do one water change at least once a week and clean your filter at least once a month. If you have an unsanitary tank, your goldfish will suffer from diseases caused by poor water quality, such as ammonia poisoning, ich, and fin rot. Keep your tank clean!
Do goldfish die from a ripped tail?
It depends how ripped it is. If it's very severe, they could die due to not being able to swim and reach its food. If however it's a tiny rip, you shouldn't worry much. I've had fish with ripped tails and they were fine ;)
Can you put a algae eater in with a carp to help keep the tank clean?
No it will eat a bit of algae but it certainly won't be capable of cleaning the tank. The amount it eats will depend on how long it takes before the turtle kills/eats the algae eater.
