A Christmas Carol

Scrooge witnesses a group of homeless people scavenging for items to sell at the junk dealership. He sees how they are struggling and how little they can get for their items, which prompts him to reflect on his own wealth and how he can make a positive impact on those around him.

The Ghost of Christmas Past is accusing Scrooge of wanting to extinguish the light of truth and self-reflection that the ghost represents. By asking to put on his cap, Scrooge is implying that he wants to avoid facing his past and the lessons it holds for him.

Yes. He was a mean and sellfish person. He doesn't taste bitter but think about it. When you eat something bitter you hate the taste. Everyone hated Scrooge so yes, the word bitter is absolutely an adjective to describe Scrooge.

When Jacob Marley came to visit Scrooge didn't believe that it was really Marley. So Marley showed Scrooge if he didn't change his ways that Scrooge would bear himself in chains of his wrong doing.

Marley told Scrooge that three spirits would visit him: the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. These spirits would help Scrooge see the error of his ways and lead him to redemption.

This makes it difficult for the Cratchit family to make ends meet, especially with a sickly son, Tiny Tim. Mrs. Cratchit sees Scrooge as heartless and uncaring for not paying Bob a fair wage.

Following the revelation that the man that dies and is left with no one to moan for him was in deed himself in the future causes him to realise that he is not just unliked, he is hated.
