Are the serpent in the Garden of Eden and Satan the same?
According to Jesus Christ, who: "...sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John: who bare record of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all the things he saw..." (Rev.1:1-2) --
...the "serpent and Satan" are indeed the same:
"...that OLD SERPENT, called the Devil, and SATAN, which deceiveth the whole world..." (Rev.12:9).
According to the prophecy of Revelation... this "old serpent"... "Satan"... the "Dragon": will pursue and persecute another "woman" [the Church of God] one last time in the coming Great Tribulation before Jesus returns.
"...when the Dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time [three-and-a-half years], from the FACE OF THE SERPENT.
"And THE SERPENT cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the Dragon cast out of his mouth. And the Dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Rev.12:13-17) [see also the "fifth seal" of Revelation 6, which is the coming Great Tribulation. It's described in greater detail by Jesus in Matt.24:9-28]
The Dragon, that Old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan... are the same being.
"And he laid hold on the Dragon, that OLD SERPENT, WHICH IS THE DEVIL, AND SATAN, and bound him a thousand years..." (Rev.20:2).
"... and when the thousand years are expired, SATAN shall be loosed out of his prison..." (verse 7).

Did the devil tempt Adam and Eve as a result of his banishment from Heaven?
The book of Genesis gave no information as to the motives of the sinister serpent. The slithering serpent was the Devil's agent, as the uniquely selfishly deceitful inhabitant of the Garden of Eden. The serpentine motive may have been vengeance for the Devil having been banished from Heaven. Or it just may have been doing the Devil's business of opposing God.

Did Adam and Eve have bellybuttons?
that was never answered, you just have to rely on your faith that Adam was the first, so therefore he was created by God, and not in God's womb so to speak
Answer
Not to linger over this question, which seems to have been answered no doubt to the satisfaction of the asker. I have to admit that I have pondered over it for the past half an hour.
That, as the scriptures say, Adam was formed from the dust of the earth is as likely true, for the earth contains all of the elements to organize a man. (I am reluctant to use the word create). Then to have the Lord breath into Adam the breath of life, is but figurative to having the spirit of Adam enter his body giving it life. Eve as well as all other creatures were organized in the same way, each in turn receiving their spirit.
and so become living things.
I find that I must agree with the other answers that our first parents did not have belly buttons.
AnswerI would think that God gave him one, just so Cain and Abel wouldn't feel like freaks. AnswerIf you are refering to Adam, the first man on earth, the awnser is, according to the bible and scientific studies, no. The belly button signifies that you were born of a woman. The belly button is where your umbilical cord was. The umbilical cord was how you lived in your mother's womb, it attached you to her, that's how you were fed and grew. When you are botn, they cut the umbilical cord with scissors becaus you can now live without it. That's where your bellybutton came from. Since Adam was put on the earth as a teenager by God, he was not born of a woman, and therefore did not have an umbilical cord attahced to him, so he didn't have a bellybutton! Neither did his wife, Eve. AnswerNo he did not. Belly buttons are the result of a birth. Adam was not born he was created as a full grown adult. He did not even have a childhood. AnswerSince God does not and cannot lie He would not create something false. The leftovers of the umbilical cord are the signs of attachment of a placenta. Adam was not nourished in anyone's womb in this way. Thus it would appear certain Adam had no belly button. This would have given him occasion to witness to his children and grandchildren as to his origin. He was not a freak, he was wonderfully created that way by God Himself. What is the poem eve's apology by aemilia lanyer about?
It's about Jesus being crucified, however, it is in Pontius Pilot's wife's perspective. Basically she tells her husband (Pilot) that by killing the son of God he is committing a bigger sin than Eve did in the garden. She then goes on to explain why it isn't all Eve's fault that she ate the forbidden fruit because Adam should have known to protect her from trickery. Lanyer writes as if men are just as much to blame for the fall of human kind as women are.
Could Adam and Eve suffer injury before the Fall?
There is no mention of death r suffering in the Eden myth. Mark Twain noted this in his stories of Adam and Eve. As an example fish taken from water just flopped around until returned to the water. Based on that thought - probably not.

What kind of tree were Adam and Eve not to eat from?
The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Somehow this has in the popular imagination morphed into "an apple", though it probably wasn't. (The pomegranate has also been suggested; this is at least symbolically more fitting, because pomegranate juice looks like blood.) It's at least equally possible that it's some fruit that isn't known today because it only existed in the Garden (the Tree of Life is also mentioned, and it at least pretty clearly existed only in the Garden, since an angel with a flaming sword was set to guard it to prevent Adam and Eve from eating that too and gaining eternal life).
According to some scholars, the particular fruit didn't matter and there was nothing "magic" or "spiritual" about it ... other than that it was the one fruit they were forbidden from eating. In this interpretation, the "knowledge of good and evil" obtained was not some intrinsic property of the fruit itself, but rather the knowledge that they had disobeyed God (and therefore done "evil").
Cain, Abel and Seth are the only three names we have. But it's clearly not all the children she had - " And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters" Gen 5:4
Given their lifespan, I think it's safe to assume that Adam and Eve had hundreds more. And in a way we are all their children.
What kind of relationship did god have with man at the beginning?
They had a great, personal relationship, even taking walks together in the garden.
