There are currently only two ways to acquire wild animals in AOE 3 without cheating. First off if you have the warchief's expansion you can use your warchief to tame wild animals. Secondly, you can use the map editor to give yourself wild animals.

Age of Empires I covers the era between the stone age and classical period.

Age of Empires II cover the medieval era for Europe and Asia.

Age of Empires III covers the colonisation of America.

I don't think you can choose Allies/Enemy like you did back in AOE2.

But you can assign 'Players' to 'Teams'.

Relics can only be picked up by Heroes and Priests. Collect the relic and return it to the church/mosque.

You have to go to options and then go to graphic options and click on the windowed mode. If it is lighted up it means it will be minimized. If it is minimized it means you can do anything you can usually do on your computer, but if for example you open safari it will pause the game. If it is not lit up it will be full screen and you wont be able to do anything else but aoe3. The graphics are better in full screen though. Hope this helps!

Obtaining gold and stone is the same as Age of Empires 2 without the expansion. You will have to mine it from gold or stone patches with a villager and have that villager place the stone or gold into a Mining Camp or the Town Center.

Also, you can cheat for stone and gold by typing 'rock on' or 'robin hood'
