The thing you HAVE to wear when playing airsoft is eye wear. Do not buy cheap eye wear since most high grade AEG's can penetrate it. You can choose to wear think clothing or you can purchase vest and other essentials at an airsoft store. Hey do airsoft guns hurt? Yes they hurt very bad! If you are playing with your friends you might get little welts but when you play with serious players they have airsoft guns that reach up to 500 fps which is almost half the speed of a real bullet. This can make you bleed and if your not wearing eye protection your eye is probably gone for sure. Even if the gun is 100 fps you eye could be wiped out. ---------- ok,ok...so you need eye protection, but really? that is just the begging. Depending on what type of airsoft you are playing, wether it be "paint soft" or "milsim". if its just "paint soft," then wear goggles, and what ever you want to wear. If its "milsim," normally camoflauge and military gear is absolutely required because we are re-enacting scenarios. Plus most milsim games are capped at 460 fps max... pick up games or "paint soft" games, can range from 280-650 fps depending on location and guns.

Take it to a repair shop

EDIT: Don't listen to that guy, you don't have to waste your time taking it to a repair shop. Simply take an unjamming rod, shove it down the barrel, and the BB should roll out the magwell. If it doesn't, take apart your gun until you have the barrel laying in front of you, then try the unjamming rod again.

It depends on what level of pain you want to deliver and on your gun's fps. Say your gun shoots 480 fps like mine: .12 gram bbs are standard and don't hurt too much, .20 gram bbs hurt more but my fps is reduced, .25 gram bbs are the heaviest you can buy and hurt the most but reduce my fps to about 400 or so.

It depends on several factors: how thick the glass is, weight of the BB, and the velocity (fps) of BB itself. A 0.25 gr plastic BBs at 450 fps can easily broke a small energy drink bottle. There are another factor: the material of the BBs. Metal/glass BBs can broke glass more easily in the same weight and velocity. But A REAL AIRSOFTER wouldn't use those kind of BBs, RIGHT?

There are five classifications of airsoft, one is gas operated the second is battery operated, the bolt action gas operated uses a top level gas, spring, and co2. the only one you need batteries for are the battery operated.

In Pleasanton it is illegal to shoot airsoft guns, and in all of California it is illegal to have an airsoft gun out in public (unless it is clear or neon colored) other than that I don't know

Until recently Washington, D.C. had one of the most restrictive gun laws in the world. It was pretty much a complete ban. Interestingly the District of Columbia also has one of the worst crime rates in the nation.

The Supreme Court just overturned the ban and residents of D.C. can now own guns and keep them under lock and key in their homes strictly for protection. It must have a trigger lock on it and be totally inaccessible to any children who live in or visit the home.

Airsoft guns were also illegal in Washington, D.C. To be honest, I don't know if the new change in the law had any affect on this at all. I doubt anyone thought about it and I certainly haven't seen airsoft ownership addressed in any way. I can pretty much guarantee you if the police saw you carrying or using an airsoft gun you would be detained and questioned. Wheter you are breaking the law or not, I don't know!

If you are going to be an airsoft sniper, you will need goggles, and not a full face mask. While this will allow you to use an optic better, it means you could get hit in the face. So you should also play with a scarf/shemagh, and be ready to surrender if people get close, unless you want face welts.

Dealing with Law Enforcement
If you are confronted by a police officer while transporting or playing with your airsoft gun, stay calm and follow their orders to the letter. Tell them that the gun isn't real, and ask them what you should do. Don't make any sudden movements and DO NOT argue with the officers. Your attitude can mean the difference between being arrested and being released.

General rule of thumb is buy the best you can afford for what it is you want to do (target shooting, hunting, display, collect, etc..)

You cannot because a paintball marker is classified as a firearm(if a mechanism has to potential of firing a projectile over 1 joule of energy out of the muzzle it is classed as a firearm) and the firearms reg act of 2005 basically states that no person can have a firearm's licence for a paintball gun because it can only be used for recreation purposes. cannot have justifiable cause to own one

the only real m1s are gas powered but company's make guns like them (echo 1 m14) that are battery powered.

This depends on what is wrong with the trigger. I would not attempt to fix anything with the trigger due to the fact that it is connected to the gearbox unit. If you have a good amount of money invested in this gun, take care of it by visiting an airsmith to have the problem fixed.

There are no official all airsoft stores I know about in MA but you can easily go to Sports Authority, Bass Pro Shops, Dicks Sporting Goods, and even Walmart to get an airsoft gun in stores but make sure you or the person buying the gun is at leat eighteen.
