If what youre asking is if ambien is compared to being "knocked out" for surgery or something like that, i'd say no assuming youre taking a safe-prescribed dosage. I think 10mg is the highest dosage a doc will prescribe. 15-30 min after taking it i begin to feel extremely sleepy, but it doesnt "knock me out." It likely varies person to person as most meds do though...

Ambien® is the trade name for Zolpidem Tartrate. There is no such thing as zoldipen. Your pharmacist probably committed a typo on the prescription label. Be aware that Ambien® is an immediate-release product and not equivalent to AmbienCR®. The latter does not have any generic equivalent products approved by the FDA.

In immediate release form: 5mg and 10mg white oblong tablets are available. Generic.

In controlled release form: 6.25mg and 12.5mg are available as round, pink or blue tablets marked A~. No generic.

The maximum recommended dose in immediate release Ambien is 10mg. and 12.5mg in the CR form.

Ambien is a grey area. As far as I know there is no commercially available drug test to determine if ambien is present in urine. However, it does replicate benzos like Xanax & acts on similar receptors in the brain. So logic tells me the detox time would be similar. but I can't say for sure... Most pharmaceuticals that are not chronically abused take between 3-5 days to detox.

I'm currently taking gabapentin for relief of the back and leg pain caused by sciatica from two herniated discs. The nights I have a tough time with it I also take zolpidem tartate 5 mg tablets and have noticed no significant negative reaction. That's not to say that someone else would have issues with it and do not know the chemistry behind it. I have noticed that drowsiness obviously increases greatly before bed with a little bit of flushed feeling in my face. Beyond that I haven't noticed anything else. Hope that helps.

Well of course you can, just ingest both pills. However risk of serotonin syndrome is higher and depending on dosage adverse shi*y side effects may occur. I wouldn't mix the two. Medical cocktails are never good for the body.

im about to do it. i have had 20mg of isotrentinoin and am about to take 10mg ambien, and i took nyquel and an antibiotic. ha wish me luck!
