Almost impossible to say without having the gun in hand. The two most likely reasons are that parts are dirty, or parts are worn/broken. I would start with a thorough cleaning, with special attention to the chamber, bolt, and extractor/ejector. If that does not cure the problem. look for wear or breakage of the extractor/ejector.

it depends on the rifle. 7.62mm is the same as .30cal. the mosin nagant series of rifles shoot 7.62x54R. your rifle is probably marked with the correct calibur.

That'd depend on what you want it to do when it arrives, and at which angle it's fired. Military speaking an assaoult rifle with open sights is considered effective to about 300 yards for an average soldier. The actual bullet will travel longer though, and the longest confirmed kill from an assault rifle was at 4 kilometers. That one was unintentional, fired blindly at optimum trajectory.

First, a couple of terms: What most people call a 'bullet' when referring to the thing you load into the gun, is more properly called the 'cartridge'. When the gun is fired, the projectile that comes out of the barrel is the actual bullet. A typical cartridge consists of a casing, a primer, propellant, and the bullet. The propellant used to be black gunpowder, but modern cartidges use a nitrocellulose-based* 'smokeless propellant'. We still tend to call the propellant the 'powder' though. When you pull the trigger on the gun, the gun's hammer strikes the percussive primer pressed into the end of the cartridge. This causes the primer to detonate, and the primer ignites the propellant (powder) in the cartridge. The propellant burns very fast, being completely consumed in a tiny fraction of a second, and this produces hot gasses. The gasses expand, creating tremendous pressure, and this pressure forces the bullet out of the cartridge and down the gun's barrel. Kind of like when you shoot a spitwad out of a straw.

*So-called single base powders are mainly nitrocellulose. There are powders called double-base powders that are mainly nitrocellulose but have 10-40% added nitroglycerine to give them more energy.

Air Soft guns are not designed to fire Pellets. The shape is just wrong but there are steel BB in the 6mm size avalable. But because they are heaver than plastic they fire or travel slower. If the Air Soft gun is not designed to use them they may actually ruin or break the air gun.

For the same reason there are so many models of cars. Different bullets are used for different applications, and lots of different companies make guns, so there are lots of different designs.

^exactly^ i wouldnt shoot a squirrel with a 270, i'd shoot it with a 17 or 22. and i wouldn't shoot a deer with a 17 or a 22. there are many sizes of calibers for many purposes. majority of the types of animals are all shot w/ different calibers... you can shoot a white-tail with a .22-250 but i wouldnt prefer it while hunting elk. The larger the bullet means the more grainage it has, meaning more impact and more damage done. you can shoot a squirrel with a .25-06 but there wouldnt be any true purpose because he'd explode, thus meaning no meat.

The French MAB 7.65 Cal. Brevete Model D is normally chambered for the 7.65x17mm Browning SR, which is the same as .32 ACP. This is a pretty common round, which can easily be found at any local gun shop and many sporting goods stores. You can also buy it through mail order outlets.
