YES. Barnes, Nosler and a host of others make 200 and 220 grain bullets for use in reloading the .308 Win. However the largest factory load available (that I have found) is Lapua 185grain mega and naturalis. 180grain is widely available though (Federal, Remington etc.) and will happily take everything in North America, if you put the bullet in the right place. You'll be pushing it though with the brown and Polar bears.

Why does your model 58 not eject shells?
Almost impossible to say without having the gun in hand. The two most likely reasons are that parts are dirty, or parts are worn/broken. I would start with a thorough cleaning, with special attention to the chamber, bolt, and extractor/ejector. If that does not cure the problem. look for wear or breakage of the extractor/ejector.

it depends on the rifle. 7.62mm is the same as .30cal. the mosin nagant series of rifles shoot 7.62x54R. your rifle is probably marked with the correct calibur.

^exactly^ i wouldnt shoot a squirrel with a 270, i'd shoot it with a 17 or 22. and i wouldn't shoot a deer with a 17 or a 22. there are many sizes of calibers for many purposes. majority of the types of animals are all shot w/ different calibers... you can shoot a white-tail with a .22-250 but i wouldnt prefer it while hunting elk. The larger the bullet means the more grainage it has, meaning more impact and more damage done. you can shoot a squirrel with a .25-06 but there wouldnt be any true purpose because he'd explode, thus meaning no meat.
