How far does a 22 bullet go when fired?
Depends on the .22 cartridge, what it is fired from, and the angle of the barrel when fired. A .22 LR high velocity cartridge, fired from a rifle at about a 40 degree elevation can shoot about 1.5 miles- but there is no accuracy at that distance.

Can you shoot regular 38 caliber ammunition in a 38 special?
NO, a 38 Special is actually .357 caliber.
NO, a 38 Special is actually .357 caliber.
A 38 special is NOT a 357 magnum. Both bullet heads are about .357 in diameter. The difference between the 38 and 357 is the length of the brass case. The 357 brass case is a bit longer then the 38 special case, and the gun powder load is a bit higher then the 38 special load......
Further, you can shoot a 38 special case in the 357 magnum revolver, however, you cannot fire a 357 magnum round in the 38 special. The 38 special cylinder is too short for the 357 round......
What is the effective range for a 30.06 bullet?
Depends on your ability to shoot and the game you are hunting.

Ammo for 401 Winchester self loader?
Try Buffaloarms.com - they have the brass and may have loaded ammo. The only other place I've found wanted $9.75 for a single round. I may be getting one, but I cast my own bullets. If you want to do this go to Castboolits.gunloads.com and look around. There is a plethora of information, almost all of it reliable.
Can you shoot 5.56 mm ammo in Ruger Mini 14?
Yes you can, the mini14 has always had a 5.56x45 chamber.
The mini14 receiver is marked ".223 CAL" not ".223 rem."
The manual states this:
"AMMUNITION (580 series mini14 and above)
The RUGER® MINI-14® RANCH RIFLES are chambered for the .223
Remington (5.56mm) cartridge. The Mini-14 Ranch Rifle is designed to use either
standardized U.S. military, OR factory loaded sporting .223 (5.56mm) cartridges
manufactured in accordance with U.S. industry practice."
The 180 series Mini 14 States this:
" The Mini14 is designed to use EITHER U.S. Military, Commercial sporting, Or Other .223(5.56mm) caliber ammunition manufactured to U.S. industry standards."
Here is the .pdfs for the 580 series and 180 series mini14s listed above for verification: 180 series: www.ruger.com/Firearms/PDF/InstructionManuals/43.pdf 580 series: www.ruger.com/Firearms/PDF/InstructionManuals/55.pdf
The above means that 5.56nato ammunition can be used safely in the rifle. The Ruger Mini-14 has a 5.56 chamber but can shoot .223 Remington ammuntion. It is a common myth that the mini14 is chambered in .223 Remington. While 5.56mm NATO ammunition is identical in external dimensions to .223 Remington, there are two important differences:
1) The chamber dimensions between the two cartridges are different. 5.56mm has a longer throat or leade (the the unrifled portion of the barrel between the end of the chamber and the beginning of the rifling). This longer throat reduces pressures as compared to the .223 Remington. Consequently, .223 Remington ammunition is loaded to a lower pressure.
2) The 5.56mm cartridge is loaded to higher pressures than the .223 Remington. Taking advantage of the longer throat, the 5.56mm can safely operate at a more powerful loading level.
Firing a 5.56mm cartridge (which is loaded to higher pressure) in a .223 Remington chambered rifle (which has a shorter throat causing a further boost in pressure), could exceed the safety margin in a .223 Remington rifle. It cannot be done with complete safety.
A .223 Remington cartridge can be safely fired in a 5.56mm chambered rifle, but NOT vice versa.
Always use safe, reliable, and quality ammunition. When buying surplus 5.56 ammo make sure you examine it closely before using it in the rifle. It is also suggested in the manual that you don't use handloads in the mini-14. using handloads can be dangerous and will void the warranty if damage is caused as a result using improper ammunition.

What size bullets would a Darenger pistol be?
Original flint or purcussion pistols by Henry Deringer could be anywhere from 28 to 50 caliber. Remington Arms made several different "Derringer" pistols (note the difference in spelling) ranging from 17 to 41 caliber. The most widely recognized Remington derringer is the over/under double barrelled Elliot's patent chambered for 41 rimfire cartridges. Modern copies of these are readily available today in 22, 38, and 45 caliber. Dozens (hundreds?) of other small, easily concealed, pistols and revolvers have also been called Deringer/Derringer/Daringer, etc, by most people even if not by their manufacturer.

Will a bullet in the arm kill you?
If you believe it will, yes. If it destroys the brachial artey and the bleeding isn't stopped you will bleed out.
If you soak a bullet in gasoline and shoot it in a gun will the bullet be on fire?
No, but you could hurt yourself that way. Because the gasoline will start burning in the rifle which is very dangerous! If the vapor ignites, it could burn everyone nearby. Gasoline vapor can be ignited by sources as far as 20 feet from the container.
So don't try this!
********************
There is also a possibility that the cartridge would fail to fire. Gasoline MAY soak into the cartridge, and deactivate the primer and/or powder. Ever hear the expression "Keep your powder dry"?
All in all, putting gasoline on your cartridges is a VERY BAD IDEA. Dangerous and unprofessional. Never do it. Never mind what people do in movies. In real life, firearms are deadly WEAPONS, and should be handled with respect and care. Anyone who is not responsible enough to handle firearms intelligently and carefully should not handle them at all.

The compounds used in incendiary bullets contain phosphorus, which burns fiercely when ignited. Of course, playing with phosphorus is just about as dangerous as soaking bullets in gasoline.
Is there a difference between a 38 caliber bullet and a 380 caliber bullet?
Yes they is a differnent. When people say "38" they usually mean .38 special, which is a revolver cartridge. .380 ACP is a semi-automatic cartridge. The bullet in a .380 cartridge, even though it's called .380, is actually very slightly smaller in diameter, and lighter than the bullet in a .38 cartridge. The .38 bullet is 0.357 inches in diameter while the .380 is 0.350 inches in diameter.
Technically, the .380 cartridge is considered part of the 9 mm class of bullets. [9 mm x 19 mm = 9 mm Luger or 9 mm Parabellum, 9 mm x 18 mm = 9 mm Tokarov, and 9 mm x 17 mm = .380 ACP]
