A great thing about amusement parks is that they are fun and there are many things to do. The down side is that they may be expensive and crowded.

Knott's Berry Farm offers discounts on its own website so that could be the first place to look. Flyers giving reduced entry can sometimes be found in Burger King and some supermarkets.

Thorpe Park has thirty four different attractions.

The park has five main rollercoasters; Stealth, Saw: The Ride, Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and X:\ No Way Out. In addition to this the park has one small family rollercoaster, Flying Fish.

To support the selection of Rollercoasters available the park also has five large flat rides; Detonator, Rush, Samurai, Slammer and Vortex.

As well as the larger flat rides there are five rides designed for the whole family to enjoy; Quantum, Zodiac, Mr Monkeys Banana Ride, Rocky Express and Storm in A Teacup.

For very small guests there is Octopus Gardens. The area consists of seven rides for guests smaller than 1.3m

There are four water rides; Depth Charge, Rumba Rapids, Loggers Leap and Tidal Wave.

As well as the above there is a 4D Cinema Show (Time Voyagers), a train ride (The Canada Creek Railway), an artificial beach with swimming area and slides (Neptune's Beach and Wet Wet Wet), a small play area (Sea Snakes and Ladders), a carousel (Chief Rangers Carousel) and a children's show.

Also on Fright Nights, (around Halloween time) there are 4 live action horror mazes, (The Asylum, Se7en, The Curse and Hellgate) as well as the permanent maze, SAW Alive. Also, on Fright Nights, the age limit for SAW - The Ride goes up to 15 as they place actors in the queue and on the ride.

No, Cedar Point will not be making a new roller coaster in 2011. They will be making a thrill ride called the Windseeker which is not a roller coaster. If you meant later in the future, nobody knows but the park officials.

The Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, New Jersey, USA. At its opening on May 21, 2005, it became the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, claiming the title from Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. The train is launched by a hydraulic launch mechanism to 128 miles per hour (206 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.

Alton towers has 29 rides including the amazing new thirteen!!! the 29 rides include 7 roller coasters,5 water rides,17 thrill rides and children's attractions.

A couple months ago I went on my first roller coaster, so I know how scary it can be! I would recommend always going with a friend or family member who can ride with you. It helps to ask them questions about the ride if they've been on it before, so you can know more about it. Before you go on a ride, tell yourself it's gonna be okay! You'll have a blast when you're done, trust me. When I got off my first roller coaster I asked myself, 'why was I so scared'? Also, here's what I've heard about why people are scared to go on roller coasters: Your mind is telling you that going so fast and upside down would normally hurt you, so it makes you feel like its dangerous so you wont want to go on it. But if you can look past that fear and realize it's NOT dangerous, it's totally fun!

It is called "Alton Towers" because the Alton Towers Resort has "Towers" which I think were built in 1980 when the Resort was first opened and the "Alton" Towers Resort is located in Alton, Stoke-on-Trent.

Cedar Point has approximately 3.2 million visitors each year. Cedar Point is open for 6 months out of the year (May through October) with September and October only open on weekends so the park has an average of about 22,000 guests a day. Cedar Point is busier on weekends so on some of the busiest days the park can have over 45,000 - 50,000 people in it.

On a roller coaster, we see the cars lifted to the high point on the ride. This converts the kinetic energy used to lift the cars into potential energy. When the cars are dumped over that initial apex, the potential energy is converted back into kinetic energy. As those cars continue along the track, conversions of kinetic energy to potential energy will occur at each rise along the course, and there will be conversions from potential energy back into kinetic energy at the drops. This continues until the end of the ride, where most of the potential energy that was initially put in has been lost in friction, and only a bit of braking is needed to stop the cars.
