Andy Warhol (officially named Andrew Warhola), was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker.

It doesnt have a meaning... it's a banana, Pop art was meant to shock and dismiss watercolours, with it's bright bold colours. Pop artists painted anything and everything that had vibrant colours, often using advertising as inspiration for their art. There wasnt particular reason for the banana, it isnt meant to represent anything other than a banana.

Andy Warhol (Born Andrew Warhola) is famous because of his world known silkscreen artworks such as the Marilyn Diptych and the Campbell's soup can.

He is the father of pop art, creating it and said the famous quote "Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes" and "I want to be a machine".

He is also famous because of his movies like Sleep and Batman Dracula.

Well his artworks revolved around American Pop Culture, he was fascinated with it. He amired people who were famous. Warhol also had an appreciation for intense Hollywood glamour. He once said: "I love Los Angeles. I love Hollywood. They're so beautiful. Everything's plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic."

The funeral mass for Andy Warhol took place at the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Superior Ave Northside Pittsburgh PA 15212, in Feb 1987. The mass was overseen by Father Peter Tay, pastor of the parish.

Warhol's Mickey Mouse is an offset lithograph (as are many of his famous pictures), which means there are a number of copies which are all 'originals' and in various collections, private and public.

He was 58.

The age Andy Warhol died at was 58 on February 22, 1987. He died from gall bladder disorder. In 1978, he was shot by a woman who's script was turned down by Andy. She wanted revenge. He became very weak, so that might've been a little part of the reasoning of his death, too.

His parents were from Slovakia, but Andy was born in Pittsburg, PA.

Sorry, i don't think you will ever get Andy's address as he is no longer living. You may still be able to find his work, as he was a famous artist and film-maker... but i highly doubt you'll be successful at locating him at a specific home address.

The public liked it because it was new and different but critics thought that it was terrible and boring. It was easy to understand because it was colourful and fun.

I own an Andy Warhol serigraph. He used this method because he basically painted to make money first and for his art second. This was a fastest method to supply the growing demand for his work. It was also very cost effective.

I have approx. 20 paintings of Marilyn Monroe in my collection, mostly oil paintings. I have one watercolor painting. The oil paintings cost between $35.00 to $99.00 each and are all high quality. They are all very good likenesses of Marilyn, and each painting in my collection presents a different Marilyn than the others. With paintings, the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is very much true!

You can find them on eBay if you search diligently for a painting that offers a good likeness of Marilyn and that pleases you. There are hundreds of really crappy, ugly paintings on eBay that look nothing at all like Marilyn Monroe. Hold out until you see one you really like, and then grab it before it's gone!

A few words of advice: It is better to search and find a painting you like and buy it already painted, than to commission a painting by an artist. If you see what you want and it's already painted, buy it fast! If you submit a photograph to a painter to paint a portrait for you, you may be very displeased with the results of the final painting.

His interest in pop art was showing and critiquing consumerism and advertising in art. (take Campbell's soup cans, for example) he was also interested in showing how the repetition of an image can both trivialize the subject or make it important (take the Marylin Monroe silk screens of her repeated face).

Another of his favourite things was his hometown -- "Pittsburgh Pennsylvania U.S.A". Andy's funeral was held in Pittsburgh at the Thomas P. Kunsak funeral home, on the NorthSide. His funeral "Divine Liturgy" was held at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Superior Avenue, Pittsburgh. The Priest officiating was Archpriest Peter Tay.

Mr Williams' family has indicated that the funeral will be private and as such, unannounced. However, there are plans to hold a memorial service, most likely in Branson Missouri. Fans of Mr Williams' have been asked to respect the family's wishes so they may celebrate their loved one in privacy and dignity. However, they respect the fact so many people wish to mourn and celebrate Mr Williams' memory - thus the planning for a memorial service.

Andy Warhol had a place in New York City that was called The Factory. They made a movie about this place which was also called Factory Girl, and it was about that place.
