Anoles are a small - medium sized arboreal reptile ranging from just a few inches up to 22 inches. They range from North America - Asia. They are a very common reptile specie as they can be very affordable. They come in multiple different colors and through selective breeding; morphs are now available throughout the reptile hobby. Anoles range from climates that are hot with minimal shrubbery - very hot and damp rainforest climates. The most common anole being the green anole, they are often seen looking brown, as the pigments in the skin can lighten and darken depending on mood, stress and temperature.

I've had a baby brown anole for a few months now and the only thing I have found small enough to feed her are flightless fruitflies. They can be purchased at most Petco's and online. They are the size of a normal fruitfly, but are unable to fly.

BreedingThese lizards breed in the late spring to early summer months. They will normally lay 2 eggs per clutch, and many clutches throughout the summer months. Make sure to include leaves or some other vegetation on the ground, as they will lay the eggs underneath. Allow 60 - 90 days for the eggs to hatch. It is recommended that you remove the babies after they hatch, or before for incubation. In many cases, feeder insects and even the adults will eat the young.

To encourage breeding,hibernation WILL be required.In the summer no lights should be turned on any hours of the day and feeding should be limited to once every 2-3 days.Sounds harsh but it is required.

based on mine, from head to beginning of tail, about two in. her tail is about 3.5. she turns green at night, brownish in the afternoon, and green brown in the morning. she is kinda skinny, and u can see her spine a little. idk if this applies to others, but when she's brown, one spot on her neck stays green. idk why or if that happenes on others but.. so yea think this is wat most look like

Florida has seen its coldest days in years. I unfortunately have found many many dead. (frozen) lizards all over the place.. I bring them in the house in a coverd bowl some come back from the dead..telling there story of the afterlizard life.. lolol.. no seriously... Green Anoles lizards are wild however, they can somewhat be trained/tamed to an extent. The more you handle them the more they get accustomed to being handled and will be less likely to try and escape from you. Be careful handling them to much or too roughly, they are fragile and wash your hands before handling them so as to keep them from getting ill.

ok this may b because wat u r feeding it. If u r feeding it dead flies or wat ever is dead, it may not notice it, like mine. if u feed it live, small crickets it should go right after them.If not, it may be because it doesnt like wat ur feeding it
