Should I stop taking chlorpheniramine if I am now taing prednisone.

Codeine phosphate and buprenorphine are both opioid medications, but they are different substances with distinct properties. As long as the cold and flu tablets do not already include ibuprofen or another NSAID, it should be okay, unless the medication contains paracetamol. Adults (anyone over 16) can usually take paracetamol and Ibuprofen together but it is advised if you do that you space the doses apart by 6 hours instead of 4. There are no known harmful interactions between paracetamol and ibuprofen in people over 16.

Ibuprofen on it's own can cause kidney damage. I would expect that if you already have kidney disease you could possibly be setting yourself up for kidney failure. Your doctor should have known you were afflicted with this disease and prescribed you something like oxycodone 10 mg tablets.

NEVER self medicate your dog. Phone a vet and ask if you can give your dog medication for whatever ails him/her, but don't just self medicate your dog. Whatever you wouldn't do to a baby you also don't do to your family pet(s).
