It is referred to as a "Boss", origins not know but could be because it sticks out?
The "Target Face" is what you put on the Boss for scoring, these are different sizes depending on what Round is being shot (Indoor & Outdoor). The biggest face is 122cm and the smallest 40cm (Target Archery).
The answer is 10
The answer depends upon the type of target being used.
Some targets will score the bullseye as 10 (Vegas 5-Dot), others as 5 (5-Spot).
It has become common place for clubs to count the inner most ring of the Vegas target as an "X" which is counted separately to break ties among archers with identical scores. So it is not unusual to hear archers call an "X-Ring" shot an 11.
long bow, short bow, cross bow... it depends what you are hunting
different parts of the archery bow and assembly
They are the lower limb, arrow rest. back, string notch, nock, face, string height*, upper limb, handle (also called "riser"), string, and recurve**.
*Note that string height is a measurement from the arrow rest to the nocking point
**Note that "recurve" is a shape of the limbs.
Modern "compound bows" have cams, cables, guides , for hunting: often noise suppressors, for target shooting also counterweights, sights of various types...
No one really knows when the bow was invented, or where, but it's use goes back at least 30,000 years, and probably much longer.
The "Iceman" a body found frozen in the Alps, which dates back to the late Stone Age, had a bow and quiver full of arrows which were virtually identical to basic "Self" (one-piece) bows made today, so the weapon was fully developed even then. X-ray examination of the body found a flint arrowhead embedded in his shoulder, so he was shot with an arrow shortly before his death!
Archery was very popular during this era. The most skilled archers would win prizes. This was an individual sport played by men of all classes. It was also played by pregnant women. It was said that the roar of the crowd at the archery arena would ensure her unborn son to become a skillful archer.
depending on the length of the bow which, i think should be 52", you'll need a 48" string.
The strength required for archery depends entirely on the bow you use. Anyone can use a kid's bow with a fifteen pound pull, but it takes a fair amount of muscle to draw a 65 pound hunting bow. Most common bows these days are "compound bows" that have a heavy initial draw, but using a collection of cams and cables, the draw lightens as you reach full pull--the advantage of that is that you can keep the pull, even with a heavy bow, long enough to get a good aim without having your muscles start to shake.
Heavy bows, by the way, provide flatter trajectories for arrows, making it easier to aim them at varying distances--use the heaviest bow you can comfortably draw. There are adjustable bows that allow you to increase the draw weight as you get stronger.
i think its Fletching, though that could just be the part of adding feathers to stabilise the arrow, like in darts...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fletching
There is not really a specific term for creating arrows. Arrow building is the most specific I have heard. Fletching as a noun means the section of the arrow that stabilizes it. Fletching as a verb it the act of putting either feathers or vanes on the arrow.
First-Being able to firer your bow. Then your groups (spread of your arrows on the target) will get smaller. From the size of a barn to the size of 5x5' square, 2x2', volleyball, orange, and eventually (if you're really serious) down to the size of a pin-pong ball.
Just last week I had to have the string and cabels replaced on my PSE " Beast". the estimate i got for new cabels was $60.00 Cdn, and an additional $20.00 for the new string.
I keep my bows strung if I'm shooting them regularly, but I un-string them if it's going to be more than a few days idle. Just remember to check your brace height when you restring and shoot a few times.I would not advise using oil of any kind on your bow. A good rub down with a clean terry cloth towel is all I ever do. But I would defer to the maufacturers recommendations on that topic. Use bees wax on your string. Martins make nice traditional bows good luck and have fun!
The draw weight should be marked on the bow. You cannot go any higher than the marked draw weight unless your bow has removable limbs, then you could buy limbs with a higher draw weight. You will ruin the bow if you use it with a higher draw rate.
archery has evolved by going from the recerve bow to the single cam then the double cam. there is some bows that shoot more than 400 feet p/s and can reach up to seventy yard in shooting distance

As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the richest sportsman in the world was Conor McGregor, an Irish mixed martial artist and boxer. According to Forbes, McGregor earned a total of $180 million in the previous year, primarily due to his highly publicized boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017, as well as his various business ventures including his whiskey brand Proper No. Twelve. However, it's possible that this has changed since my knowledge cutoff, as athlete's earnings can fluctuate due to various factors such as performance, endorsements, and business ventures.
