If VE+AR+MK+MC is better than 235, or AR+MK+EI+GS is better than 235, then you must take the NAPT (Navy Advanced Programs Test) to achieve: VE+AR+MK+MC+NAPT = 290 (with minimum 50 NAPT score) or AR+MK+EI+GS+NAPT=290 (with minimum 50 NAPT score).

If VE+AR+MK+MC is better than 252, or AR+MK+EI+GS is better than 252, no NAPT is required.

The practice tests will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses so that you can concentrate your study in the right places.

well depends how well you did on the pretest and how good you want to score, i scored a 85 on my Enlisted Screen Test back in may and i took the actual test until this week ,almost 3 months studying off and on, i bought 2 different study guides on-line on amazon and i box set of flash cards. i normally studied 1 section every time i sat down to study regardless of the time i spent doing a section at least 3 times a week and used the flashcards mostly for the vocabulary and to reviews sections i already done on the books. using the pretest you can identify which sections you want to concentrate more on. all in all i got a score of 97 which was more than i anticipated but really showed me that studying really really helped not only was i not nervous taking the test but most of the questions seemed alot easier than what i thought i was going to be.

It depends on what job you are looking to join and the type of score it requires in different areas of the asvab. BAR NONE it is the special forces.

SF does NOT have the highest asvab requirement most of them require in the 40-55 range. for the USAF most of the higher asvab required jobs are of electronics backgrounds

Yes it is good. High AFQT scores usually mean higher GT scores. If your GT is over 110 you are qualified for the more technical jobs if that is what you seek. I would say a majority of the jobs don't require that high a score so it might not matter. The only thing is that job selection is usually limited to what is available at the time. It is difficult to say what you could get now with the econmy being bad because there are many more people competing for positions. Go sit down with a recruiter or military career couselor and see what is available. You could always leave if you don't like what you see. Just make sure you are walking away for something better. One takes the DLAB at their local MEPS. you take it after taking your asvab. talk to your recruiter

You can take it up to six times but most recuiters won't work with you after the first three times. First fail, you have to wait 30 days. Second fail, you have to wait another 30 days. Third fail, you have to wait six months.
