Why do people with autism have a fascination with objects?

People with autism have atypical sensory systems, so certain things that are significantly unexciting to most people are fascinating to autistics. For example, one may find a random alley behind buildings, as a wonderland, or fixate on items, like tags on clothes.

Why Are Normal people mean to autistic people so much?

I really don't think we are mean to autistic people. How i look at it is that they really are no different then us at all, we are all human beings. Something that I recommend is a book called ''Rules'' By Cynthia Lord. It shows that we are not diffrent from autistic people. Its a charming story and an easy read. I highly recommend it.

I think "normal" people (no such thing as a normal person btw) are mean to autistic people because they don't understand the disabilities they have. When some people are around the mentally disabled they tend to act "mean" or "rude" because they don't know how to act with or around them. It is another form of racism. You don't understand it so you treat it poorly. It's not the same or as good as you, so you treat it badly. People with mental disabilities also tend to, sometimes, be a little overexcited and will sometimes get close or touch people and I think that other people don't know how to handle that or maybe don't like people to be close to them so instead of backing away or politely asking not to be touched they are mean instead. While I don't condone people being mean to someone just because they are different, unfortunately some people in this society don't know how to act towards people that are different from them.

What are the moral and ethical issues and opinions on prenatal testing for autism?

The main consideration would be eugenics.

Autistic people are not worth less than neurotypical people, we are of equal value and even those who are severely effected at some point in their lives can still live happily. Our culture is very ableist against Autistic people so if pre-natal screening existed it is likely that many parents would choose to abort - there's nothing wrong with abortion, but there is something wrong with a culture that would mean parents would want to abort Autistic people thinking that we're inferior.

How common is Autism and bankruptcy?

I would guess that it is fairly common, but I doubt that there are many figure for it. Autistic people face a lot of discrimination so will often lose their jobs and as such have to face bankruptcy. Neurotypical families with Autistic families often are taken advantage of and told they need a lot of expensive treatments that they don't really need, this means they spend money they don't have because they feel they have to in order to be good parents and thus end-up in debt facing bankruptcy.

Can you get autism or asperger from vaccination shots?

The child will not get autism from an MMR vaccination. Countries with different vaccination ingredients or different vaccination schedules have increasing rates of autism, too. Research indicates that the MMR vaccination does not cause autism. Videos and descriptions of the children thought to have had autism triggered by the thimerosal-containing MMR vaccines show that they had symptoms of autism prior to the vaccination.

Autism is a genetic condition that, in most cases, is assumed to have an environmental trigger in the womb or early infancy. There is the possibility that a very small portion of the people with autism have the condition triggered by a vaccination, but that number is statistically insignificant, so it is too small to be detected in scientific studies. But there is that possibility with other events, too, such as feeding your baby processed baby food or breastfeeding for less than 2 years or eating peanuts while pregnant or any other events that are not associated with autism.

Hypothetically, if a child were to have autism triggered by a vaccination, it could be because of the ingredients of the vaccination, the child's stress at receiving a vaccination, the body's immune response being triggered, or some other factor involved in the process of getting a vaccination.

Another potential cause for concern is the fact that human DNA is in some of the MMR vaccines. It has not been scientifically proven nor disproven but the dates match up according to what I've read. I would love to know where autism is on the rise and vaccines are not available as someone wrote previously. I wasn't aware of that.

If an autistic person has eczema or asthma is that linked with autism?

No autism is not related to eczema and asthma. Eczema and asthma are related to each other, but they are not connected to autism in any way.

However, autism does appear to be more common in families with a history of atopy; that is, eczema, asthma and other allergies.

There is significant evidence to suggest that autism is possibly an inflammatory genetic condition, the development of which is enhanced (or improved) by environmental factors such as diet, and exposure to various environmental toxins and irritants, and various poisons.

Autism has a strong genetic component - 90% of paired identical twins will both have autism. However, 10% won't, indicating that environmental factors are clearly at play.

Can O positive man with mild autism and very smart marries from a girl with what blood type so that their children will possibly be free from even mild autism the father has?

A person cannot have 'mild autism' you are either autistic or you are not, and how you're impacted by your autism can change throughout your life. A persons blood type or how intelligent they are has no relation to whether or not their offspring would be Autistic, it is possible for an Autistic parent to have a neurotypical child - although genetically Autism is believed to have a strong link on the male side, with Autistic fathers more likely to have Autistic children; Autistic sons especially.

What can cause an autistic person to have a meltdown?

Many things can cause autistic people to get into a meltdown. Noisy crowded areas, uncomfortable clothings, or trying on new clothes/shoes because they sense it's going to cause a sensory issue and bring a lot of changes. Having too much socializing and not getting enough down time. Eating certain foods that they are sensitive to. Being bullied or pushed into something.

What charities help autistic kids?

Autistic Self-Advocacy Network is regarded as one of the best organisations for Autistic people, not sure if they are a charity or not but they are a good first-call for information on helping Autistic people. Avoid Autism Speaks, they are considered to be a hate group and although they claim to help Autistic people they actually harm us. From propaganda to torture, from supporting parents murdering Autistic children to eugenics - Autism Speaks does not speak for us.

What are the chances my daughter will have autism I have a 19 y o with autism my daughter is 7 months?

Your children would not 'have autism' they would be Autistic.

As autism is genetic often siblings of Autistic children will be Autistic too, but this isn't always the case - autism does tend to be more common in males, and obviously it depends on parents genes. In girls autism is a lot harder to pick-up on and diagnose, so it may take some time to spot traits.
