What is the value of a team signed baseball from the 1949 Raleigh caps?

Noted players key to Value

The baseball will have a higher value if sold locally. The key to the value will rely on the signatures of any ballplayer that made it to the big leagues. You would have to do some home work, and find any noted players that signed the ball. Then a more accurate value can be placed on the ball. Signatures of ballplayers early in their career can carry a premium.

What type kind of pen or sharpie would be best suited to get player autographs on the new glossy baseball cards?

Blue Sharpie would most likely be the most preferred, or a color that will make the signature stand out the most depending on the contrast to the color of the card signed. The better the signature displays the more valuable. A ball point pen might adhere to the card better, but will leave an indent on the card and will not stand out as well. Either way what ever type of pen or sharpie used be careful, and allow the ink to dry fully before handling or placing in a protective cover. If not properly dried the ink will smear. With Sharpie even after the ink is properly dried, and placed in a protective cover, over time the ink could still "sweat" onto the plastic, and fade the signature. You might want to consider having another item signed or a baseball card that does not have a glossy finish. A high valued collectible baseball card will be devalued by a signature. The glossy finish on the card is also not the most ideal surface for a signature. Although there is a small community of collectors that collect signed baseball cards, Baseballs are the most preferred items for a signature, followed by photographs. A signed baseball card will be worth less than a signed baseball by the same player. For more information on signed items read my newsletter "How Much Is my Autographed Baseball?" There might be some information in it, that you might find useful. I will leave the link below.

1957 New York Yankees Team Souvenir Stamped Signature Baseballs

Souvenir team baseballs with stamped signatures have been sold in ballparks from at least as far back as 1950. Souvenir baseballs have been made in fewer numbers before but during the world war II era (1941 -1945) there was not much of anything being produced.

Souvenir team baseballs have been a fan favorite for decades. This is one of the first souvenirs kids get when they go to their first Major league game, and for Decades they also Played with them. (not as much today). Most of them have been used to submission, or the signatures faded over the years. But the few that make it through the years are desired.

How much would a 1940 autograph from Charles Lucky Luciano?

I've seen only one Charles "Lucky" Luciano autograph. It is currently on sale on a website (starts with "A" ends with "zon") with an asking price of $40,000. It's unlikely to fetch that much, but an individual autograph that has been authenticated or with provenance might pull a couple hundred to a thousand dollars or more. Truthfully though, Luciano's signature shouldn't be that rare, although not much in circulation. Not many will be willing or interested in owning a piece of such nefarious history.
