No, Avenged Sevenfold is not a Christian metal band. They are a secular hard-rock band. A lot of their songs have Christian meanings, which makes them mistaken as a Christian metal band. However, their songs such as God Hates Us and Nightmare do not have very Christian lyrics.

They aren't satanic, they're just anti-religion. In one of their latest songs, "Children of a Worthless God", they talk about the religion of Islam and how bad that it can be due to the amounts of holy wars and killings. So to sum it all up, they don't worship Satan, they're against religion. tHEY ARE ACTUALLY all Christian men! Well the Islamic part is BS! They are for Christianity and sometimes their lyrics are misinterpreted. They speak of The Lord! Good!
