Aztecs borrowed several things from other cultures. They borrowed chewing gun, base 20- mathematical system, cacao (chocolate) bean, and they also worshiped many of the same Gods as the Mayans.

The empire was built with very hard stone.

1.The Mayans thought that human sacrifice was necessary to please their gods while the Incas only made offerings of food, animals, etc. 2. The Mayan had a spoken and written language while the Inca only had a spoken language.
3. The Inca had a different social structure from the Maya. The Inca divided their people in different classes and the government controlled everything, including the amount of food given to the people. As a result, the Inca had a better social structure then the Mayans. The Mayan had a simple social structure: The king controls everything and what he says goes.

Cortez killed some of the Aztecs - most of the died from the diseases that his soldiers brought with them from Europe and to which the Aztecs had no immunity. They are not extinct though. Their decedents are the modern day Mexicans, which is ironically the name they called themselves. The term Aztec was coined by an American to distinguish the old generation from the new when writing his book.

They laid the person who is going to be sacrificed on a altar and, with a special, flint knife, they take out the person's heart. This was offered to the gods.

Another form of sacrifice was body skinning. The chief, who was trained to do so, took off the person's skin in one piece. He then wore it for 20 days and walked around the village. It was then burned.

Aztec nobility generally wore loincloths and skirts accompanied by blouses for the women and tilma, or cloaks of a triangular cut, for the men. These pieces were generally embroidered, brightly colored, and adorned with gold and other jewels, feathers, and fur.

There were several reasons that the spanish were able to defeat the Aztecs, and these applied to the Incas as well. The Spanish had much more advanced technology than the Aztecs, such as gunpowder, horses, cannons, and steel weapons (which were stronger than the Aztec obsidian blades). The Spanish also had the advantage of surprise, as they were welcomed into the Aztec empire as honored guests but abruptly betrayed and slaughtered many Aztec citizens before they were driven from the city. Third, European diseases such as smallpox took their toll on the Aztec people. Finally, the Aztecs did not continue and finish defeating the Spanish after La Noche Triste, the only major Aztec victory during the conquest. The Spanish survivors were thus able to regroup and return with more soldiers.

The Volador was more of ritual then a game. The warrior dressed like a giant bird would jump from high platform on a pole with a rope tied to his waist of feet. He would swing around the pole as the rope slowly unraveled usually 13 revolutions until he reach the ground. This ritual was usually perform in celebration of the new year.

Spanish conquistadors commanded by Hernando Cortez arrived in the same year that the Aztecs believed their god Quetzalcoatl would return. At first the Aztecs believed that Cortez was Quetzalcoatl, but Quetzalcoatl was a bloodthirsty god who demanded human sacrifice, and the Spanish were disgusted by this practice. Cortez' army was small but much better equipped, and they found thousands of allies in subject tribes which the Aztecs had conquered and were using to feed Quetzalcoatl. The Aztec king, Montezuma, was killed by his own people when he tried to prevent war with the Spanish, and and the Aztecs were defeated eventually. The Spanish also brought missionaries to Mexico, and the religion of the Aztecs was quickly replaced by Roman Catholicism.

Because the Aztecs didn't set up their own rulers in the conquered territories. They allowed the old government to stay in power as long as they payed tribute and were loyal to the Aztec emperor.
