Look at pictures of ballerinas to get an idea of the key elements for the costume. Consider the classic white or pale pink tights with a black or pink leotard. Other elements include a tutu, which is extremely popular with little girls. Pink ballet slippers are key, too, although, they might not be the best option for trick-or-treating. Hair should be pulled back and put up. There really aren't any extraneous props to be carried around. The costume and hair says it all. Props end up in the way as soon as the child leaves the house, so follow a "less is more" philosophy when planning the costume.

WOahhhh. There is a lot of difference. For one, ballet is more vigorous type of dance, said to be the hardest version of dancing to perfect. Jazz is usually up-beat as well ballet can be also but more graceful and flowing. There is more, why don't you go see a ballet and then a musical and try to see the diff.

Well this is what i have to say im a jazz tap and ballet dancer i have done it sence i was 2 now im 11 so the difference is that ballet is nice swift and builds up your core. but jazz on the other hand

I am a dancer and i have been since i was 3. This sounds weird but the most efficient way is to use a tiny bit of womens shaving cream then shave because that makes it softer and more easy to be shaved. :-)

1st is when your feet are turned out left foot toes facing left and right toes facing right with your heels touching.

2nd is when they are in the same position but further apart so the heels arent touching.

3rd is when 1 foot is in first position facing rigt and the other is heel touching your elastics on your ballet shoe but still facing left.

4th position is whenn it is 1 foot still in first position facing rigt and the other is facing left an in line with your elastics but infront.

5th this is the same as third exept for instead of being on your elastic its heel to toe.

Yes it is based on a real person. The real Nina Sayers stabbed herself during the performance of swan lake and died after the show. She died December 1st 2009. The movie "Black Swan" was mostly based on her life.

Though pointe work has been around awhile, it was 20th century Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova who was attributed to inventing pointe shoes. It was said that the famous prima had high arched insteps. This resulted in her being vulnerable to injuries while dancing on pointe.

She also had other foot problems. Her slender tapered feet put too much pressure on her big toes. She inserted toughened leather soles into her shoe to compensate for this. This gave her extra support and flattened and hardened the toe area. This formed a box around the toe and modern pointe shoe was born.

In 1832, the famous ballerina Marie Taglioni was the first to dance a full length ballet (Les Sylphide) en pointe, although her shoes were much different than the pointe shoes used today. They were most like regular ballet shoes, with the ends "darned" or reinforced with extra thread. Most likely, dancers used these pointe shoes before her famous performance, but she is the first to dance a full length ballet in them, and is thus given the credit.

Ballet is associated with all other forms of dance. If you are a ballerina you have a great foundation for modern, jazz, or any other type of dance.

Ballet is also associated with French. Most terms in ballet are French such as arabesque or ciseaux. When most people think of ballerinas they think of grace and looking "light on your toes".

You can always start dance. Flexibility is not all that you need to take ballet. If you are determined you may become more flexible if you start dancing.
