Giselle is one of the most famous ballets.

The ballet opens with Albrecht who is perusing Giselle, the attractive peasant girl. Albrecht goes on to lead Giselle to think that he is a farmer with the name of Loys who Giselle falls in love with. During this time she is unaware that the man is already betrothed to the daughter of the duke, Bathilde. She agrees to marry him despite Hilarion's, another peasant, romantic advancements and suspects that Albrecht is an imposter. Giselle wants to dance but is warned by her mother that she has a weak heart. Hilarion tells Giselle that Albrecht has been untruthful to her and that he is a nobleman in reality. Not long after, Bathilde reveals to Giselle that Albrecht is definitely her fiancé. Giselle is horrified, becomes weak, and soon dies of a broken heart.

The second act starts in the setting of a forest at the side of Giselle's grave. The ghostly Wilis, virgins who died of unrequited love, are called upon by their queen to accept Giselle as one of their own. When Hilarion stops by the grave, the Wilis make him dance to his death. But when Albrecht arrives, Giselle, who has become a Wili herself, dances with him until the Wilis' power is lost, when the clock strikes four. It is then that Albrecht realizes that Giselle has saved him and he cries at her grave.

There are no age limits to start ballet as each studio differs but it is best not to start too early, six is a good age to start at if you want to be a professional ballerina

To answer your question,

(It is very good by the way) The future of ballet is all in the hands if small dancers, persuing there dream for their love of dance. Ballet is something that helped me get through a clutzy stage, and I belive provides all dancers with self confidence and a chance to feel elegant and beautiful. The future of ballet is going to simply be like it is now, except with more disipline, and new dancers for each generation of poised dancers to look up to.

Yes, many great sports players take dancing classes or lessons,not only ballet but other types of dace too. Some great sportsman have even been cheerleaders, however not all baseball players do so.

Well in my dance studio there are 3 levels, beginning, intermediate and advanced. I'm 11 and I'm in intermediate. The dance studio is Center Pointe Dance in Phoenix Az

Some ballet exam boards use numbered grades, Primary, Grade 1, Grade 2 up to around Grade 6. After this, the levels may be named, Intermediate, Advanced etc.

well, i guess you could but a VERY TINY bit of water. it takes time to mould to your feet, just keep wearing them and working your feet in ballet class. im having the same problem, i just got my demi pointes and my exam is in less than a month?! :S

It would depend on how a dancer would take care of their feet. For me and the girls I have danced point with, we all have rough feet. We refer to our not so smooth or good looking feet as 'dancer's feet'.

ballet takes alot of practise and puts alot of strain on the body whereas hip hop is free and loose. also you have to wear certain shoes for ballet in hip hop you can just wear trainers.
