Will bananas brown faster on the counter top in a paper bag orin the frigerator?
When bananas are put into a bag they are trapped in its own chemical. This chemical is known as Ethylene. Also the formula for this chemical is known as C2H4. So if you ever decide to put a banana in a bag you should try thinking twice. Instead of putting it in a bag that's closed you could make it last longer by just simply opening the bag and saving money!
How many shoe boxes fit in a 20 foot container?
Typically 10 standard wine pallets, which are approx. 1.2 x 1.0 meters in basal area, can fit in a 20 ft container. If you are stacking these pallets 4 high and layering 14 cases on a pallet you get 56 X 10 cases or 560 cases in the container.
I don't believe there is an problem layering the pallets 5 high for 70 cases/pallet and then obviously 70 x 10 or 700 cases in a single container.

Is it safe to eat banana leaves?
They are not poisonous but they are too tough and fibrous for humans to digest. They have been considered medicinal by some cultures in the past, though, such as poultices for wounds and burns.
The banana leaf is usually used to wrap foods in for cooking and then serves as it's own plate. Some other parts of the the banana plant, other then the fruit, however, are eaten in some places, such as the young stem and parts of the root. This may depend on the type of banana plant, however. Other primates like gorillas eat parts of the leaves, mostly the middle rib part.
Although commercial banana production is done asexually with cuttings rather than seeds, the banana tree itself did evolve as a sexually reproducing organism. So at the present time, one could argue either way, as to whether bananas are sexual or asexual. I would say that they are sexual, but repressed.
No, they are actually very healthy.
On their own, No bananas are not poisonous, However too much of anything is not good for you, and this is very true of bananas. One of the problems with bananas is that they are rich in potassium. And since they are seen as easy to eat and mineral rich they are often eaten by athletes. Over eating can put pressure on the kidneys which can only extract a limited amount of potassium per hour.
The same athletes also like nuts for the same reasons, and one popular nut is Almonds, these contain an organic chemical called cyanide. (it's why eating a few gives you energy, your adrenal system is activated.) when both foods are eaten together, you create a chemical known as potassium cyanide, which is very good at stopping the heart.
Marathon runners are the worst at this, and we have had documented cases locally of runners collapsing with cardiac arrest as a result of the above combination. Fortunatly good CPR , AED application, and injections of adrenaline saved their life, The fact that the runners in the team behind him were from he local hospital, and one was a cardiologist helped too :-)
So I guess the moral of the story is: All things in moderation (Especially Moderation)

Does bananas produce tumor necrosis factor?
Apparently so, but your body can not process it orally so the banana and black spots image is actually quite deceptive. One thing you should be aware of is that your body produces TNFs naturally and in some cases in too high a quantity leading to rheumatological conditions such as arthritis. Therefore it is not a good idea to mess about with anything that is already pretty much balanced in a healthy body in the hope that it is a preventative. My references are that I have spinal arthritis and have been offered anti-TNF treatment.
