In basketball, the defensive team is the team that does not have the ball, and is trying to prevent the team with the ball from scoring. The team with the ball trying to score is the offensive team. Both teams competing will play offense and defense, alternating with each successful basket scored.

According to the National Federation of State High School Association, rule 9 section 10 "Closely Guarded"

Art. 1...A player shall not while closely guarded:

a. In his/her frontcourt, hold the ball for five seconds or dribble the ball for five seconds.

b. In his/her frontcourt, control the ball for five seconds in an area enclosed by screening teammates.

Art. 2...A closely guarded count shall not be started during an interrupted dribble.

Art. 3...A closely guarded count shall be terminated during an interrupted dribble.

it is similar to dodge ball, there is 2 teams and you have to hit the other team with a ball, you must hit them knee down. when they get hit they stand on a bench behind your team. to be released the must catch a ball direct from somebody on their own team. the winner is the team with the most people on their bench

In any level of basketball, the player cannot return after fouling out. That is the point of the foul limit, which does not allow players to just foul without consequences. The player is only out for that game, however, and may play in any other game in the future.

a double dribble is when you start dribbling than you stop to try to pass the ball to another player and you can not see anyone to pass it to than you just start dribbling again it is a double dribble or a foul and its a throw in for the other team

So yes, even if you shot and made from the half court, it still is a 3 point-shot.

Usually it is the assist only counts if one dribble or none is taken however the rules change when a player passes to another player on the fast break. They will often be rewarded with an assist if they take two or more dribbles.
