This BB rifle, not gun, was made for Sears by Daisy air gun Co. In reality it is a Daisy Model 1894 carbine, octagon barrel. it was made between 1969-73 it was a "Replica Centennial Rifle."

I've gone through several air gun catalogues and have been unable to locate a Daisy model 170 bb gun that has ever been made. I did find a Daisy BB gun model 5170 and a BB rifle model 1170 along with a BB rifle model 107 but "NO" model 170.

There were several model 95's. The 95 (1962-76), 95a (79-80), 95 Timberwolf (2002-04), 95 Pony Express (1999) and the Gold Rush (1999)

However the original 95A in good condition is worth around $25 -$35. I have no listing for the 95B

Their are 8 different versions of the No 111 model 40. Each with a slightly different value. In good condition the range is some where between $75 for a newer version to $400 for the oldest version. I suggest you go to a book store and look up a book called "Bluebook of airguns 9th edition" and read up on the No 111 to identify your particular model. Your would be in "Fair" condition.

No. BB's do not fly as straight as pellets. Pellets deform when they hit a target and have more knock down power. BB's do not deform when they strike and will make the rodent suffer before death where as pellets make a clean kill.

It is possible with a good shot to the head. However the animal will suffer, a pellet rifle is a much better selection.
