Therefore, it might be worth the expense, even if you don’t want to DIY it. This one from ‘Casa Kids‘ looks as if it would definitely stand the test of time, and might warrant it’s price tag

When I was a child in the 60s and early 70s, before fitted sheets existed, we used sheets that were 72 x 108 on the mattresses of our twin beds. We used them as the bottom sheets, not the top sheets. We put them on using "hospital corners." On change-the-sheets day, I remember looking through the cupboard of sheets at the tags on the sheets looking for "72 x 108." 72 x 108 provides about 10 inches to tuck under each side of a twin mattress.

There are many types of mattress pads and covers for everyone's level of comfort. A pad, topper, or cover can add more padding to the bed.

Full size mattresses are about 75 inches long, or 6 feet, 3 inches. They are the same length as twin size mattresses.

A California King is width 72" X 84" length, with 36 inches of width per person.

No a full size mattress and a queen size mattress aren't the same. The full size isn't as wide as the queen size bed. Although you can't really tell merely by looking, but the size of the beds are different.
