It depends on what you define as helpful. Yes, all bees have a role in maintaining balance in their ecosystems, especially through pollination, but they are not neccesarily "helpful" to humans directly.
What is the best method to remove bee stinger?
Scrape it out with a thumbnail, the edge of something like a credit card or the back of a knife.
Do not grip the sting between finger and thumb or use tweezers because you will sqeeze the venom sac and force more venom into the wound.
However you remove the sting, do it quickly because the sting mechanism can continue to inject venom for up to two minutes after the bee has gone.
The scientific community believe that if the honey bee dies out mankind will be in some trouble but may not be completely doomed. One third of the world's food supply is highly dependent on pollination and the honeybee is the most prolific and efficient pollinator in the world. Studies have been done in fruit orchards where certain trees were not allowed to be pollinated by honeybees where other trees were. The trees that received pollination were able to produce quantities of fruit 100x greater than those that were not. Fruit from the un pollinated trees were much smaller and in some cases the fruit was deformed.
Mankind will suffer to a pretty significant extent, no doubt, but whether our species will die off altogether is a big question. War may break out over food in places that otherwise have never suffered this phenomenon (the U.S., etc..) and that will lead to more suffering and death. The final outcome will be very unpredictable and may take an extensive amount of time to play out.
One strategy that has been mentioned is for individuals to become involved in beekeeping and keep there own private hives in their backyards. Learning about bees and helping keep them alive is something anyone can do w/ minimal investment. An occasional bee sting may smart but I'm under the impression that it feels alot better than starvation.
Living Together
I had the same question. Ta'aruff means Introduction
their yeloow and brown. what a dumbe question. never seen a bee?
well your stupid too:D you spelt "yellow" wrong and their yellow and Black Not yellow and "brown" so don't call other stupid when obv's you are:D
No, for two reasons:
# A bee can only fly from the hive if the air temperature is higher than about 15oC. Arctic temperatures would seriously inhibit foraging.
# The bee does not hibernate, and must collect enought nectar when flowers are available to feed the whole colony for the whole year. This would not be possible in the very short arctic summer.
A bees skin is fuzzy. My grandma owns a bee plant and raises them and gets honey from them and it is definitely fuzzy.
millions of bees die in a day.since bees and flies are in the same family they both only live for five days.
To quote Shakespeare:
"To bee or not to bee [social], that is the question."
Bees do have mouths. The bees mouth consists of mandibles and a proboscis. They use the mouth parts to chew up food and also to suck up nectar.
What happens after putting honey on your face what reactions does it give?
Honey is a natural antibiotic and fungicide, so putting it on your face would do no harm, and might even kill the bacteria that cause acne. However, I wouldn't recommend it as a cure -- too messy!
That said, honey has been used as a wound dressing for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Hospitals have again rediscovered honey as a wound dressing -- it will even kill MRSA -- and doctors can prescribe honey dressings again.
In the sense that they do not have a spine, or vertebra: yes. Bees, like all insects, are invertebrate. Their body shape is formed by their hard outer casing.
What type of thermometer is used by a scientist?
Science measurements use the metric system and the Celsius temperature scale is used for most measurements. The Kelvin scale is also used for measurements approaching absolute zero.
How long can bees survive without water?
If you have trapped and bee and made food and water inaccessible, it would take about 48 hours to die. If he is not trapped, he will go search for food and water to prevent death.
The females (queen and workers) of most varieties of bee can sting. No males (drones) of any species can sting because the sting is a modified ovipositor (egg laying tube) -- an organ that males do not have.
There are a few varieties of bee that do not have stings at all. These are mostly solitary bees.
