What does a bernese mountain dog eat?

Bernese Mountain Dogs should be fed regular dog food like any other breed of Dog. I feed my Dogs of Wagg Complete, but any good quality dog food will do. Royal Canin makes specialist food for large breeds such as Bernese Mountain Dogs, such as ''Giant Junior'', ''Giant Puppy'' and ''Giant Adult''.

Could you cross a Leonberger with a Bernese Mountain Dog and get a healthy pup?

yes - I have one and he is wonderful. Not quite as big as a Leonberger (47 kilos), he has the white chest of a bernese mountain dog and is really very handsome. He has a wonderful nature and loves every animal and person he meets. So far no medical problems except for mild hip dysplasia for which he needs no medication but has special food.
