What are the lyrics to the song Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath?

Won't you come into my room, I wanna show you all my wares.

I just want to see your blood, I just want to stand and stare.

See the blood begin to flow as it falls upon the floor.

Iron Maiden can't be fought, Iron Maiden can't be sought.

Oh Well, wherever, wherever you are,

Iron Maiden's gonna get you, no matter how far.

See the blood flow watching it shed up above my head.

Iron Maiden wants you for dead.

Won't you come into my room, I wanna show you all my wares.

I just want to see your blood, I just want to stand and stare.

See the blood begin to flow as it falls upon the floor.

Iron Maiden can't be fought, Iron Maiden can't be sought.

What is the difference between a hook and a riff?

A hook is a set of lyrics that repeat over and over again. The lyrics hook you in because they are catchy to make the listener remember.

A riff is a set of notes or musical phrase that is repeated over and over again to form a structural framework.

What does the song black sabbath mean?

First of all, Black Sabbath is a musical group, not a song.

Just as a Sabbath is a religious ceremony (such as a mass or service), although the origin of the term has taken some divergence over the years from its origin meaning, a "black" Sabbath would be akin to an "evil" Sabbath or ceremony. Hence, witchcraft, etc.

The idea is obviously some form of Demonic Devil Worship. This goes a step beyond mere morbid songs like Paint it Black, and White Room, which seem to involve funerals.

The original members of Black Sabbath are not demonic devil worshippers, as they have been stereotyped due to their interest in themes from the occult. They have been photographed quite famously wearing rosaries or crosses around their necks on numerous occasions.

The title track for Black Sabbath, "I Grimlok", can be interpreted as having a figure or demon's shadow looming over you like the Grim Reaper/angel of death. It is more of a presence or the moldy scent of old death; the finger pointing of the Grim Reaper coming to take your soul to the other side.

Why did U2 get terrible?

This is a very subjective question. I know a lot of people who love U2 and still like everything they put out. My parents and several people I know went to their last concert and it was packed filling an entire stadium.

Personally, I haven't really liked U2 since their early days and I haven't liked any of their newer albums starting w/ Zooropa. They started inserting too much pop into their rock for my tastes.

Where did the name black sabbath come from?

There's a lot of speculation about this. The band themselves tend to indirectly cite a 1963 horror film of that name by Boris Karloff. Others have speculated that the US Acid Rock band Coven, and their 1969 album, Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls is where it was pulled from, citing the first track of that album (which was titled "Black Sabbath") and that Coven had a bassist who had taken on the name of Oz Osbourne (at the time of the release of the Coven album, Ozzy Osbourne was playing bass for a band called Magic Lanterns as John Osbourne). While the second makes for a more fantastic story, personally, I find the first one more likely.
