We just returned from there. They have around 30 maybe more. It was our first trip there and I must say, we loved it. The park was extremely clean, the staff friendly and best of all no lines. I would go there before going to Six Flags. We were there on a Monday, spent around 7 hours and the kids still wanted to stay longer.

No, you would have to be a few miles out because the sand extends a long way out and has a very shallow gradient. but there is one 5 Miles up the coast at Fleetwood.

Not of note no. There are a couple of small dykes leading into the sea from the land side of town (including Spen dyke, the peaty discolouration of which led to the name "black pool".

The closest substantial river is the Wyre, which runs from the Bowland hills through the Fylde plain, before emptying into the Irish sea at Fleetwood.
