Blue Whales

Its favorite food is "Krill". An Adult blue whale can kill upto 40 million krill per day. They can eat nearly 3500 kilograms of krill in a single day. They need nearly 1.5 million kilocalories of energy per day and so, they nearly eat nonstop. Small fish, crustaceans and squids too get caught when they trap krill in their mouth.

They scoop up large quantities of water into their mouth along with krill and other small aquatic creatures and then filters and push the water out. All remaining animals are swallowed.

i was watching a documentary on blue whales they've been recording whales since 1986 and notice some individuals by their markings on their backs and they say theres only about 200 whales left and that they eat and mate in costa rica.

They are born the sea, as they are mammals they are also born alive and are able to do all the basic functions to survive; drink, swim, breath etc.

SEA WATER

They also live in the waters of every ocean. Mostly in the waters of Arctic and Antarctic oceans. Mostly in cold waters though. During the summer months, the Northern and Southern hemispheres go to the polar waters to feed. In winter, they move to the waters of the Tropics and the Equator. They like to be free in the waters instead of being in the shallow waters.

A full grown blue whale's heart is approximately the size of a Volkswagen Beetle. Their aorta is approximately 1.4 feet in width, meaning it's large enough for a human to crawl or swim through.

The average blue whale can grow to be about 98 feet long. However, the longest blue whale ever measured was 111 feet long: that's approximately the length of three school buses parked end to end.

A blue whale calf is about 7 m (23') long at birth, and they weigh up to 2,700 kilograms (6,000 lb) as a newborn, gaining approx 90 kilograms (200 lb) every 24 hours.

Well if the blue whale was not here the number of krill would Be very LARGE and then the number of Basking shark would be larger & then the Orcas would have a ton of Food and more orcas means less fiss which means less chicken feed which means LESS CHICKEN NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Due to extensive and uncontrolled hunting. Blue whale hunting was banned in 1966 by the International Whaling Commission. But, by 1970 330,000 blue whales had been caught & killed in the Antarctic, 33,000 in the rest of the Southern Hemisphere, 8,200 in the North Pacific, and 7,000 in the North Atlantic. The largest original population, in the Antarctic, had been reduced to 0.15% its original count.

Generally they don't, because people are irrelevant little creatures. However if a they thought a much larger object like a boat was a threat to their baby whale, they might push it out of the way or slap it with their tail, and that could easily destroy a small boat and might kill people on the boat.

Blue Whales are the largest animals that have ever lived, but they only eat very small critters like krill and some small fish and squid that are mixed in with the krill. People are not something they would eat even if one accidentally got in their mouth. T

whales can be found in all the oceans of the world so able to adapt to cold or warm waters.

All cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises) evolved from land mammals millions of years ago. These land mammals became accustomed to living in the water, so they changed to eventually become cetaceans such as the blue whale.

Blue Whales have a very delicate relationship with humans. Most humans enjoy watching the whales play and feed. In other cases humans do consume whale meat and capture them for scientific research.

There are many types of whales in the world.

But some whales have special circulation system:they have 4 hearts

It's because to ensure that the brain and heart muscle have the best oxygen supply to conserve oxygen during a long dive. And another reason is because

the it has enormous body and hearts needs to be very strong that it can supply oxygen to the whole body.

P.S: Their hearts can be upto the size of a minivan to the size of a double decker bus.

The gestation period is around 10 to 12 months. Females typically give birth to one calf every two to three years at the start of winter. The new born is 2.5 metric tons heavy and is around 7 meters long at birth. He drinks nearly 400 liters of milk every day and gains around 100 kilos of weight almost every day when he grows.

Whales are huge mammals that live in the ocean. They give birth to their young in the water. As the weather changes, the whales migrate from the colder areas to the warmer areas to retain their body temperature. The killer whale(actually a dolphin.), short-finned pilot, long-finned pilot, false killer and melon-headed whales are some examples that move to NEW ZEALAND. Blue Whales are the largest known living animal species on earth. Animals that were as large as 27 meters in length (nearly 90 feet) and weighing over 170 tonnes have been recorded. Since these animals were measured and weighed after they were cut up into manageable pieces, the actual size and weight could be even more

alone always because they are a solitary species.

I don't think that they do. If you are referring to within the animal kingdom, they are the largest animal so nothing can usually take them down. But if you mean people, I don't know that any culture normally does.

Well all blue whales are different they all have a different amount of cells! Just like the human being!

Trillions of cells are in a blue whale.
