Installing a mid bottom bracket is very simple. All you do is tap both bearings into both side of the frame evenly, they do not have threads or anything like that its just simple pressure, don't hit it to hard though because you could crush the bearings.

Depends on what type of riding you want to do. For BMX-type stunts - get a BMX.

For going some serious distances both on and off-road - get a MTB.

Don't really know what you mean by jump bike.

To be honest if you have to ask then I would take it to your bike shop. Unless its a high end gyro with the London mod (€200+) then I would personally run a long linear cable.

If you haven't ridden a bike before at all I'd suggest that you don't start with a fixie. If you already know how to ride, and want to take up fixie riding, then go for a bike with front + rear brakes and good pedal-to-ground clearance(=short cranks).

you need a freewheel remover. but if you don't want the freewheel anymore a vise also works too but don't clamp it down to hard just get it snug then spin the wheel so it spins off the freewheel cause some bike shops charge like 2-5 bucks to take it off

If you buy the bike shop it will come with 2. However if you just buy a normal sett you only get a bike.

The width is the same as for just about any single-speed bike, 1/8". The length of the chain will depend on frame size, sprocket size and chainwheel size. Chains are always bought too long and then cut to fit the actual bike.

im a 15 year old male and when i was 14 i got a free agent bmx bike from sportschallet. since then have been upgrading things such as the sprocket and the handle bars and forks. ut even stock i think ree agents are a good starting bmx bike for a 14 year old. hope this helps u

for a 12yr that's a beginner try to go with something not to heavy focus around between 26lbs and 28lbs. I think the kink launch would be a good bike for a 12yr old or the fit am would be even better. The eastern shovelhead would be good to!

The Lighest BMX frame is Lopez-lt weighing in at 3 pounds 8 ounces.

Although it is light it has a tendancy to crack at the headtube. Otherwise it is an amazing frame.

41 pounds when you first get it but I have both front and back brakes off and right side pegs front and back and it's about 26 pounds I've had the bike for almost a year but the back rim sucks I blew mine out but go to danscomp and get a rim

Work on getting x-ups prefect first, then try it.

Start to twist the bars, but also at the same time, push your hips towards the back of the bike. Then, straighten your legs out as quickly as possible, and push the bars so they are next to your hip.

It will take a while, but keep at it.

Muddy Fox is decent if you're looking for something inexpensive. They have a range from low end to mid range, but nothing really high end. Silver Fox is their very inexpensive stuff. You might want to stay away from that stuff if you really want to ride off road.

If the edge of the rim is dented, which usually happens because of too low tyre pressure, you can sometimes bend it back with an adjustable wrench. Anything more serious is not repairable because the wheel will never be straight enough. If they're just a little bent they can be brough back to straight by adjusting the spoke tension. If the rim is badly bent the spokes has to be slackened and the rim straightened by brute force first, by clamping the straight part against a sturdy work bench and then forcing the overhang down. Then as the rim is reasonably true in a relaxed state the rest can be corrected for by the spoke tension. Do note that some claim that the method above would cause unacceptable weakening of the rim which would make further riding inadvisable. Opinions differ though, the "don't bend" people haven't been able to show any catastrophic failures, but those who do bend have been able to show wheels that continue to provide good service. Unfortunately "not having failed yet" isn't a guarantee for "not failing later". www.sheldonbrown.com and www.parktool.com has good info on wheel trueing.

Haro bikes are very expensive. Just the bike frame by itself can range from $170 to $300. An entire Haro bike can cost as much as $1050.

neither they are just different bike companies one isn't better then the other and anyone who said that one was bette, is just saying that because they have a kink or a wtp and they like to hate on stuff they don't have.

My 12yr old wanted a Framed FX1 bike. So I kind of reluctantly bought it for him. In the process of comparing other bikes it was about 1/2 the price of some of the other bikes we were comparing it to. So my thought process was how could it really compare....you know something is wrong here. He is about 95lbs. I recently went bike riding with him on a much more expensive 21 speed Specialized mountain bike and I was surprised to see that he was able to maintain about 15 to 20 MPH for about a 6 mile ride. I thought he would have problems keeping up with me due to the lack of gear options for up hill and down hill riding. My bike was clearly Faster than his on down hill riding. But up hill he had just as good if not better up hil acceleration as I did with much more technology in use. The Framed bike was only about $120.00. For the price I would definitely recommend it ( at this point). We almost bought a $350.00 Cult BMX bike. Which of course is much cooler looking and has a much more robust frame and other options. 5 other brands were in the play but I thought the cult was the coolest and we almost bought it that is why I mentioned it. Please keep in mind I am not a bike expert. But I do not see significant advantages that cause this bike to be more than 2x the cost. At this point he is enjoying this bike as much as he would be enjoying a more expensive bike. I will check back with you after he beats on this bike for a year to tell you if it holds up to his punishment. If it does this is a great buy! Over all for $120.00 I'm not sure how I can loose on this purchase....again we will see.
