Unhook front brake. Remove compression cap, loosen stem bolts, slide stem and bars straight off. JIggle it around a little to unstick the compression wedge, then the fork should drop right out.

Sure, as long as it has solid axles that are long enough and wheel nuts.

i hv the zx and actually i just stripped it down about an hour ago because I'm putting a lot of new parts on it. the plain stripped frame weighs 6lbs, 6 ounces. that's with absolutely nothing on it, not even bearings.

i've done some searching and i haven't found any forks with out brake mounts but some body i knew used a grinder and grinded the brake mounts of and painted over them but only do that if you really don't want brake mounts

there are the real hyper bikes which are great and there are also walmart ones that are crap so yeah

There's really no telling, too much of personal opinion mixed in. Might as well ask for the best soda or pop band.

I like KMC chains, they're good enough and dirt cheap, so you can replace them often enough before causing excessive wear on the sprockets.

Generally, no. Bike parts are a lot more expensive when bought one by one as compared to buying an assembled bike.

The only way you can get away cheaper is if you're very, very good at bargain hunting, and maybe have a stash of parts already.

BMX bikes all have the same size (20") wheels, so they're very similar in size. Doesn't matter that much as they are mainly ridden standing up anyhow.

some are some arent it depends on the bike some are way heavier than others but nine times out of ten yes.

You need a fitting socket, a socket wrench and an extender. Anyone who works on his own car will have a set.

In BMX bikes there isn't much to choose from, they're almost all use 20" wheels, which means that there isn't much difference in frame size either. Since they're mostly ridden out of the saddle it isn't much of a problem either.

It's usually not a problem. They're threaded (the left has a reverse thread) so that normal pedalling action tightens them down as you go. Lube the threads, install with moderate torque and you should be good to go.

Cranks can, and do come loose occasionally. The cranks being aluminum and the axle being steel usually means that the cranks gets badly damaged unless you get it fixed immediately, as it's pretty close to impossible to get a damaged crank properly seated again. To avoid this, grease all the parts and reassemble with the correct (high) torque.

The best? Think in terms of $1,000 and up. A very good BMX bike can bought for $500, though.

There are several versions of fit bikes, and they all have different weights.

It depends on your hub. If it's unsealed, then the ball bearings have different diameters - you just need to find out which size you need. That's fairly easy. If it's sealed, there is going to be a number on the side of the seal - usually a 4 digit number starting with a 6. That number identifies your bearing dimensions, that's the bearing size you need.
