Can you bring your own body jewelry to a piercing shop?

yes, it'll cost you way less!

*You can but its a better idea to use whatever they have. Initial jewelry has to be the proper length to allow for swelling. Theres a pretty good chance that what you have is too short. Also, it has to be the right material. The jewelry also has to be autoclaved so if it actually is the right length, you'd have to bring it in early for them to sterilize it in the autoclave and they'd definitely charge for that. So it isnt actually that much cheaper. Its way easier to just let them use their own jewelry.

How much does it cost to change your piercing?

You mean jewelry right? Most places only charge you for the new jewelry but call the shop and ask them.

Is A and D good for piercings?

I assume you mean A&D ointment. You should only use A&D ointment for new tattoos and other skin rash or irritation issues. For piercings it is recommended to use a mixture of sea salt and warm water (1/4 teaspoon of seasalt to one cup of warm water) More salt is not better, it will irritate the piercing. Also be advised I am not a medical professional, I just have alot of experience healing tattoos and piercings

Where is the vein to look for when piercing a tongue?

I really have no clue, but please, don't pierce your tongue! It can cause many dental problems, like receding gums, a swollen tongue, and it's especially painful. Nobody uses and pain-number when piercing tongues. The tongue ring can also scratch the enamel off teeth, causing you to get a ton of cavities and eventually your tooth to fall out. It can also cause tooth pain. If you pierce a nerve or a vain, your tongue could swell so much you would suffocate (it happens pretty often), or your tongue would permanently hurt so long as you kept the ring on. Seriously, do not pierce your tongue!!!!!!

Even though some of the above is correct, it doesnt really answer the question.

Don't pierce your tongue yourself. You risk infection, disease contraction, and severe blood loss. Go to a professional and they'll know where to pierce it.

How do you take care of infected belly piercing?

it all depends on how infected it is and how long you've had the peircing for. if it is a small infection with a little redness and puss and you've had it longer than six weeks just take the bar out and out it in boiling water for a about 5mins so that it is sterile and clean. then using and antibacterial solution (tcp or savlon) and wam water soak the peircing without the bar for about 10mins. if you do this once or twice a day for about 2 weeks. if it doesnt clear up you may have to remove the peircing or go see a professional. hope ive help ive had mine peirced for 6 months

How long does it take for a Tragus Piercing to close up?

I've had my Tragus pierced for around 3 years now but I'm not allowed it in for work - how long will it take to close up? I have breaks every 2 hours and was thinking of just putting the bar back in every break but would this irritate it? Thanks!

Yes, replacing it that often will definitely irritate it. Are you allowed to wear a retainer? You can get a clear glass lip retainer and it'll hide it pretty well. There isn't a way to tell how long you can leave it out. It depends on your body.

Wear latex gloves and try again. They really help grip the slick metal. Or get a friend/parent to help you. If that still doesn't work, just go to your piercer and ask them

Can you wash your hair with newly pierced ears?

Yes just make sure you have no earrings on

On the contrary - it is important to keep earrings in your newly pierced ears. Health professionals recommend constantly keeping your earrings in for around 6 weeks while the healing takes place. Trying to reinsert an earring into a newly pierced ear if you take it out can cause tearing, bleeding and other damage. The only circumstances under which you should remove earrings from a new piercing is if the area shows signs of infection.

How can you make a belly button piercing uninfected without taking the piercing out?

You should never remove the jewelry from an infected piercing. It needs to stay open to drain. The first thing that you should do is to wear only surgical steel, titanium, or glass. Then, go see your doctor. If its actually infected, they should give you antibiotics to clear things up faster. Clean it with natural sea salt and water 2-3 times a day. Put a pinch of natural sea salt into a shot glass of warm water and use that to soak the piercing. If it starts drying out the piercing, cut back to 2 a day and just use warm water for the other cleanings. You can use antimicrobial soap 2-3 times a week but it can be drying. Don't touch the piercing and don't go swimming. Don't use alcohol or peroxide on it ever, no matter who tells you to do it. They just make the piercing raw and delay healing. Try to stay away from sick people so as not to further compromise your immune system.
