What is the song played during the bruins opening video?
Depends on when you attended a Bruins game this season, we've used quite a few. Start of the season our "heritage/historical" video was to U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name" but that was quickly replaced with music from Pirates of the Carribean. That stayed the same until our new historical video debuted at the St. Patrick's day game against the Philadelphia Flyers on March 15th. The music for that one is a track called "The Gael" by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, which is also a version of the music from the film the Last of the Mohicans. The "Current players" half of our opening presentation has gone through quite a few incarnations... start of the season was last year's "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva, the next open was to the Dropkick Murphy's "Time To Go." After that we rolled out our holiday open through late November and all of December, which was cut to "Christmas Eve, Sarajevo" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. In the new year we had an open that was a mix of music from the film Gladiator and the piece "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff (which has been in a slew of films and elsewhere). Finally, the newest open (March-April) is set to music from the film the 300 (a track entitled "Fever Dream"). Of course, if you came to fan appreciation night on April 5th, everything was different as our "historical" video was our playoff edition of Ozzy's "Crazy Train" and the main video was set to J. Geils Band's "Houseparty." And the playoffs will hold something new as well!
