Unless you have special skills and some special equipment, you probably don't. All the components in the breech must be well made or the weapon will blow up when you fire it. It would be easy to get killed, and even easier to get injured. Or you might just kill or injure someone else. There are real world consequences for failure on a real world project like this. Before attempting a build of any weapon, do some reading and think things through. Sometimes we want the "finished product" and think by building it ourselves we can have it when we otherwise couldn't afford it. We might just want the experience. In either case, read and think through the requirements of the project. And talk to some people who know more than a bit about it. Building a shotgun from scratch is like, say, building a motor for your car from scratch. Start with a block of iron or aluminum and mill the block out.... You get the picture.

I think 1 in 14, this is because it is intended for light bullets 50 gr and under. It would be cool if the twist was faster and you could shoot heavier bullets effectively but there would be way tooooooooooo much heat for that little barrel and it just wouldn't last!

I have this gun in a 28" barrel and it's in good shape. I'm getting ready to sell it and I've been told by several knowledgeable gun buyers that I should ask $350 and take $300. Brent Did you get your answer and secondly did you sell it?

Your Browning light twelve in the condition that you describe would bring 1,000 dollars for a model with the plain barrel.If your shotgun has a vent rib barrel,then it would be worth 1,200 dollars.I want to say that your shotgun was made in the year 1969,by the serial number prefix of 69G.

I can find no reference that shows Browning ever made a model called the C5.

The value of the 1938 Browning .32 caliber semi-automatic stamped with Nazi eagles varies greatly with the condition of the gun. On average the gun retails for about 750 dollars in average shape. Be sure to have it appraised because there are a number of fake eagle designs on the market.

The Browning Superposed Broadway shotgun is a variant of the popular Browning Superposed Over & Under double barrel shotguns produced in the late 1950s and 1960s (possibly as late as 1975). These shotguns were primarily intended for trapshooting and the "Broadway" term refers to the wide sighting rib (5/8" wide) running the full length along the top of the upper barrel. Standard Superposed shotguns typically had a rib 3/8" wide.

The Broadway superposed shotguns were 12 guage (12 bore) with 2 3/4" chambers (3" magnum loads will not work in these guns and it is dangerous to try). Typically they Broadway trap guns had 30" or 32" barrels although it is possible that some custom lengths could exist. The original barrels had fixed chokes, usually modified, improved modified, and full in a variety of combinations with the most common usually being modified on the lower barrel and full choke on the upper.

The Superposed Broadway shotguns were all made in Belgium and are exceptionally fine firearms. Many are still in use today by competition shooters despite being more than 40 years old. Some have had hundreds of thousands of rounds fired from them.

The Sweet 16 has always had a Gold Trigger. Developed and tested in 1936, the Sweet 16 (which is the lightweight 16 ga of the Auto-5) was first released to the public in 1937 with a Gold Trigger. All Sweets since have had a Gold Trigger. There has never been a sweet 16 without a gold trigger.

This particular model was made before the invector choke system came out, therefore the value is less than later Citori's with more versatility. 1936 Was the first year for Sweets made available in May of 1937. Production stopped in 1940 due to the war, but started again in 1946. Belgium guns were produced until 1975. Japaneese Sweets were also made in the 1980's and 90's. auto5man
