What is the value of a 9 MM Browning pistol?
Depends on condition, age, availability, model, etc. Call a local gun shop.
They aren't worth a whole lot according to the price guides, but they can cost you $250,000 if you get caught with one that has not been registered. Everything about the Stevens short-barreled shotguns at the related question applies to the Essex. -- Explanation -- Shotguns marked 'Essex Arms' were made by Crescent Firearms for sale by the Belknap Hardware Company through its catalog. Crescent DID make a couple of different versions of a .410 pistol, but production was stopped in 1934 after passage of the National Firearms Act. I have a few very thorough references on these pistols, and know of none marked 'Essex' although with Crescent Firearms you never say "never." These guns are classified as Title II firearms in the Any Other Weapon category and require federal registration. Those that were registered in 1934 or during the one amnesty period in the 1960's are legal to own (pursuant to state and local laws as well) and will have accompanying paperwork and a 'tax stamp.' Any that were NOT registered can not be registered now and are contraband, subject to seizure, with the possessor subject to prosecution similar to owning an unregistered machinegun. If the gun is NOT a factory-made pistol (most likely), it was cut down from an Essex-marked single-barrel shotgun and is also very illegal to possess. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Where can you find information about a Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle?
I have one, but have found very little information on it. Mine is .50 Caliber and in quite nice condition. It has had a crack in the grip area, but repaired very well. Keep working the internet ... somewhere there is a good site.
The lightening model is essentially the same as the regular superposed, with several weight saving modifications. These include slimmer forearm, lighter barrels, and small internal changes to the receiver. All in all, the weight savings are about a 1/2 pound. -jimmy
What you are looking is part of Belgium's proof markings system. The PV stands for "Poudre Vive" (smokeless powder). The "Y" I cannot explane, as that character does not appear in any of my references on Belgium proof marks. FN did make a "Y" series of Auto 5s but none of them were supposed to have been imported into this country and that "Y" desigation should have been part of the s/n on the underside of the reciever. You should take another look at this "Y" an insure that it is indeed what is stamped there.
What is the age and value of a 25 caliber Rigarmi pistol?
-I just saw some online, one just like mine sold at internet auction for $51,found fancy engraved one for $299,found another like mine for $150-date of manufacture should be stamped on left side, just above and forward of the trigger
It is a 1934 gun. Would need to know what you mean by 'fully-engraved.' There was some light scroll work standard on field guns. If you can send pictures it would be helpful. sales@countrygunsmith.net
What is the value of a Browning Sweet Sixteen shotgun serial 30021?
That is not a Sweet Sixteen serial number.
What is the value of a 1935 Browning Auto-5 shotgun?
It can vary quite a bit depending on what grade and the PPGS grading (60% to 100%). All 4 grades were made with no rib, solid rib, and vented rib (each being more valuable repectively). So the range is Grade 1 60% @ $250, to grade 4 vented rib 100% @ $4900. Hope this helps. You need to find your grade & PPGS grading and then check a "Gun Values" book to be accurate.
What is the value of Browning light 20 gold trigger 01331PY231?
It is 1982 production from Japan. We see them listed at over $900, but this is unlikely to sell. In excellent condition, $700-$800.
The 'M' in the serial number indicates the gun is a BAR sporting rifle, but there was no M57 serialization since the gun was not introduced until 1967. Please check ther serial number.
All Citoris were/are made in Japan, and that is not the full serial number. There are three more numbers and two letters. Value depends mainly on the features and condition. Early Citoris with fixed chokes are not as desireable as later Citoris with choke tubes. Field and Trap guns are not as desireable as Lightning and Superlight models. Based on the information you provided, anywhere between $550 and $1000.
What is age of Browning Sweet Sixteen number 17165 and what shells does it use?
The Sweet Sixteen Shotguns were a model of the Browning A-5 Auto. They were made between 1937 and 1975. That does not appear to be a complete serial number.
