I didn't know how this worked so my question above isn't complete. This shotgun has serial number U stamped above 501, but there are no markings stating a model 10 or anything. I am just trying to compare pictures and this is what I came up with. It has the patent dates of 1903 and 1905 on the top of the barrel that are identical to a Model 10 I saw on the internet, but no "Remington Arms" on the pump slider arm on the left side like this Model 10 had. The patent dates are also NOT left justified as I see all other stamps of these same dates. The first line says "Remington Arms etc." and the second line says "Patents Feby. 3, 1903, May 16, 1905" and is indented one letter space compared to the first line. The second line also has a space at the end compared to the first line, so they are like centered instead of left-justified. Those and the serial number are the only markings on the gun. I wouldn't ask the same ol' "How much is a Model 12 worth" except I am curious if the serial number adds any value, and a verification if this is in fact, a model 10. If there are no cracks in the stock, and the gun is 100%original with an intact Remington Arms plastic buttplate, you have a $300 shotgun.

Sweet refers to lightweight 16 guages. If you are saking about a 20 guage, it's either a Light Twenty or a Mag twenty. Value depends on condition. Recommended to take it to a gun shop for an appraisal

This rifle could be valued from $500 - $750, depending grade and on condition of wood, metal and bore. These are fine rifles and are worth keeping in the best condition. I have one in .243, and, in fact, I am looking for one in 30.06 and grade II quality. Grade I has no engraving. Grade II has and elk and antelope engraved on either side of the receiver. Depends on condition. In real estate value is based on three things; location, location, location. In firearms it is condition. There are several rating scales used to judge quality with the best of those being per cent remaining original finish. A 98% original condition 3200 field grade gun is going to be worth in the $800 to $1100 range. Higher grades and certain models will be worth more. The 3200 is somewhat subject to forearm cracking from lots of firing; e.g. skeet and trap guns. Remington had a recall on them in which the stock was reinforced and other modifications were made. This recall was free but is no longer offered (statute of limitations exceeded). It can be done by other gunsmiths but the cost is likely to be in the $600 to $800 range. If the gun has not had the modification it will be worth less than one that has had it; on the low end of the $800 mentioned above. With the mod it should be on the high end, or above, the $1100. The 3200 was for many years a favorite for skeet and trap competitive shooters and many have had extensive modifications which may, or may not, substantially increase the value of the gun depending on who did the work and the overall condition of the piece.

the serial # should be on the under left side of the receiver however some of the older browning 22 semi auto takedown rifles say 1914 to i belive it was 1955 may not have a serial no as i own 3 the 22 short has a serial no one of my 22lr has a serial no. but one of my lr has no serial no. Midwest gun works has a list showing the date history of the 22 take down price depends on condition i personaly would not even consider any offer of less than 500.00 for any of mine

Value depends on condtion, how bad you want to sell it, how bad someone wants to buy it, what grade it is, any accessories, the box, original papers, etc.. You could be in the 200-1000 USD range.

Only a handfull of sweet 16s were made in 1936. They were not available until 1937 to dealers by order only. Sure you have a 1936 gun? If so, it is likely a standard weight 16ga, and not a sweet 16. value depends on condition and correct identification of this gun.

Never heard of a model 22 BPS. A Browning BPS in 20 gauge can vary from 150-400 depending on condition.

The Browning Double Auto was designed by the late Val Browning, son of John M. Browning. It was made in 12 gauge only between 1952 and 1971 in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale. There were three variations: Standard, Twelvette and Twentyweight. Barrel lengths were 26, 26 1/2 (Twentyweight only) 28 or 30. Could be had with or without a vent rib. Value depending on condition 400-900. Rare colors will bring more. @ 65,000 were made The alloy frame was available in different colors (royal or light blue, satin gray, green, gold, black and brown. Also, there are no serial numbers on this shotgun but there are a series of dates, 1900, 19001 and it says Browning patents - manufactured at Remington arms - How can I date this gun?

It sounds like you have a Remington Model 12. Value would depend on the condition of your rifle and which type you have. The two main styles Remington made during this production period involved those with an octagon or round shaped barrel. Depending on how much of the original finish remains on the rifle, which style you have and how good a shape the bore rifling is in, value could range anywhere from $250.00 to $600.00. If any drilling/tapping of the receiver for a scope or side receiver sight has been done, value will drop considerably. If it's a model 12, manufactured 1917

Condition can answer the question. Used in 85% is on the low end of $400-500. Mint in the box can go up to $1800+. Most of these in good original condition 90-95% see $500-$800 at auction.
