Bruce lee is universally recognized as the king of martial arts movies after making only one Hollywood film. his ideas and philosophies on fighting and physical fitness revolutionized the martial arts community. he founded a school of martial know as jeet kune do and brought martial arts into mainstream America. he is a symbol of racial equality. i could go on forever but the bottom line is Bruce lee was a man who changed the world and whose great legacy was cut tragically short.

Bruce Lee died in 1973 of what only can be described as an allergy to aspirin. He often over worked himself and during the filming of Enter the Dragon collapsed with a seizure. This led to brain hemorrhaging and his health went downhill quickly. Two months later he complained of a headache and a friend gave him an analgesic. He laid down for a nap and never woke up.
Although medical science has come a long way since then and a current autopsy could tell us much more, it boils down to this; Bruce Lee was a shooting star. You can only burn at your brightest for so long until you have given all you have. RIP Little Dragon
How would you describe the one inch punch?
Its basically a modified old time Boxing jab, fired as a Wing Chun punch. In modern Boxing, the jab is a sharp stinging blow with only the power of the pectoral and front deltoid muscles behind the snap. However, in "golden age" boxing, boxing as it was taught from the 30's to 50's, the Jab is thrown by "pushing" with the rear leg, as the stance back then was a little narrower. The theory behind this, is that it can not only sharpen the sting, but if you master the propelling with the rear leg, said snap may even result in a knock out later in the fight if the other guy took enough damage. Bruce Lee modified it, in that instead of using a jab, he used Wing Chun's diaphragm punch, a very common attack across all Kung Fu styles that targets the diaphragm. Virtually all Kung styles use a punch, aimed just below the sternum, if it hits with enough force, because it can take so much wind out it can result in unconsciousness.
