Skin-
The American Bullfrog has adapted its skin to a greenish brown color, making it difficult for its predators, such as herons, garter snakes, and raccoons to name a few, much more difficult to find the bullfrog in it's habitat. Apart from camouflage, the American Bullfrog has many glands called paratoid glands on the surface of their skin, when it feels threatened or wants to to ward off predators, or other animals from its territory, it will release a toxin that could potentially kill the animal if it were to eat the bullfrog.

The American Bullfrog has a body about five to eight inches in length, however, its hind legs can reach a whopping seven to ten inches! This makes the frog very good at jumping, making a maximum leap about nine times its body length.
