How much weight will you lose if you follow the low calorie 2468 diet for 3 weeks?
i meant the 2468 diet. where u eat 200 calories one day then 400 then 600 then 800 then back to 200 ???
I actually lost about 7 pounds my first 6 days. I found it worked best if I added a fasting day and went 24680 to clear out my body. You'll weigh in lightest at your second 200 day either way though so that's when your going to want to climb on the scale.
(the above answer was someone else)
This diet was developed by anorexics.
If you follow this diet you will lose 10lbs a month but... when you stop you will regain all you lost plus twenty pounds.
I am speaking from personal experience and your body will be in shock for a long time. I started the diet at 110lbs and within two months was at 91... then anything I ate I stored. this diet puts your body in shock. don't do it.
Yes. If you consume more calories than you need one day, you will "store" them. If you consume less, you use any "stored" calories.
Are you anorexic if you eat 500 calories or less a day?
If you are on 500 calories a day you are damaging your body. Your body is feeding off itself, and by ping-pong dieting eventually you will damage your heart, kidneys, liver and stomach lining not to mention your digestive tract and colon. In time you will be riddled with great health problems.
It's the quality of the foods you eat as I mentioned above and 3 1/2 ounces of protein per meal is all one needs and filling up with grains, veggies, fruits and some dairy products are a must. If you start taking in 1200 calories and follow these instructions you will lose weight. Stop the crash dieting!
Good luck Marcy
Eating less than 500 calories a day does not mean you are anorexic. Anorexia is a serious mental illness, and there are more deaths from anorexia than from any other mental illness.
Furthermore, for you to be diagnosed anorexic, your bmi would be lower than 17.5. As well as shoe all the classic symptoms. There is a world of difference between a person crash dieting to 500 calories a day, and a person who is suffering from anorexia.
Obviously I o not know whether you are anorexic, healthy, etc because your question does not state so, but generally if a healthy person ate 500 calories a day they would not be anorexic. Although people should be careful because crash dieting is dangerous, and these things can spiral out of control.
Answer:Technically you are not anorexic just because you eat 500 or less calories a day. And also, you don't have to have a bmi of below 17.5 to have an eating disorder....you might not be diagnosed anorexic until then, but it wouldn't mean that you didn't have an eating disorder....As long as you don't 1) look in the mirror and are never satisfied with the way you look, you always want to lose more weight, 2) are obsessed with counting calories, and will restrict yourself to the point of starvation to lose weight, and 3) obsess over weighing yourself (once a week is normal or healthy, but obsession is weighing everyday or more than once a day and over-reacting to tiny fluctuation in weight)...then you're probably fine.Semen, also known as ejaculate, is the fluid containing sperm that is ejaculated during sexual excitement. It is composed of seminal fluid from the seminal vesicles, fluid from the prostate, fluid from the Cowper's gland, and sperm. Sperm move from the testicles to the seminal vesicles through tubes called the vas deferens. In the seminal vesicles, they mix with other fluids to form semen.
A tablespoon of semen contains approximately six calories. Semen does contain protein, but it also contains all kinds of chemicals and minerals, including water, sugar, calcium, chlorine, magnesium, nitrogen, vitamin B12, and zinc. But it does not contain enough of any of these things to be considered "nutritious."
What's sperm made up of?
It contains at least 3 vitamins: C, B12, and E. It also contains important minerals including calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and phosphor. Two sweeteners, fructose (found in fruits) and sorbitol are in there too. It also contains proteins. Strangely, all this makes sperm an exceptional nutritional supplement (but not one that can ever substitute a balanced diet, experts warn). It also contains a trace of cholesterol and sodium.
Can you burn calories from the day before?
yes, this is how people lose weight. you burn more calories than you intake, which means since there are no more calories to burn of this day, they take those that are stored (or from the days/time before today) and burn those. to lose weight.
What will happen if you burn more calories than you consume?
The person will lose weight. Excercise done correctly results in body fat reduction and muscles being toned and strengthened. Combined with a good diet the person can become healthy and physically fit.
How many calories should an average 16-year-old girl eat a day?
There is no set number of calories any human being should have. There are recommendations for daily caloric intake but nothing concrete. A typical 16 year old girl will burn about 1500 to 2500 calories/day depending on her level of activity, metabolism, etc. If the girl at question is overweight, change the current diet and encourage exercise or sports.
It is very high in protein, but you get so little of it that it won't make a great deal of difference to your intake. *** Sperm contains protein, sugar and about 35 calories per 'shot'.
How quick do you have to eliminate calories before they are absorbed?
You cannot eliminate calories before they are absorbed. The only way to get rid of the calories is to burn them off once they are absorbed. Anything you put in your stomach will be absorbed sooner or later as it moves through your intestines. Your body then uses the calories to function (breathe, pump blood, etc) and uses whatever you burn up in exercise. Any remaining calories not used turn to fat. Therefore the best way to burn off calories is to make sure that you are not binging. Regular exercise means you are constantly burning the calories just consumed. And eating small amounts of calories throughout the day will mean your body is using them up constantly. If you go on a binge and eat lots of calories in one hit, your body cannot burn them all and therefore they are put on as fat. It is best to burn off what you have eaten within 24 hours (which is about the time it takes to move through your intestines).
Not a lot because the body digests the food and takes the nutrients out and having a bowel movement is the waste particles from the body (just like urinating.) Constipation isn't good for a person and can, in some cases cause one to go to the hospital to be (cleansed out) if left too long. This means the person isn't eating enough fibers like green leafy vegetables, whole grains, etc. Diarrhea is usually caused by anything from nervousness (IBS) "Irritable Bowel Syndrome, something you ate or a virus. Diarrhea on it's own when not using laxatives can mean your body doesn't agree with something and is cleansing the guts and colon out. It this persists for more than 2 days (drink lots of fluids, especially water) it's time to see the doctor.
Can you lose ten pounds in one week by having 800 to 900 calories a day?
Diet and exercise together would allow you to meet that goal, but make sure that you take some vitamins and if possible check in with your doctor, just in case you have a condition that might be best to monitor.
-----------
It is NEVER a good idea to go below 1200 calories for anyone. In your case, I'm assuming your a growing teenager who, as a bare minimum, needs at least 1500 calories to function properly, and that's not even including the energy you need to have for normal things such as walking or even typing on the keyboard. If you go below 1200 cals your body will go into something called starvation mode, in which your body stops using energy for the less important things such as your hormonal system, which will result in you losing your period and most likely the chance of you ever being able to conceive permanently because of the massive stress your body is under. You also have the risk of developping full-blown anorexia, which in most cases with lead to death. Anorexia is a TERRIBLE disease, believe me, I've had it before, and I'm in recovery now. No matter how much you want to be thinner, its not worth it. Have anorexia - for me - was absolute Hell. Anyway when I had it, I got down to the lowest weight possible which for me was 88 pounds, which might to someone with anorexia is the best thing possible, but I looked horrible, my ribs protruded, my eyes looked sunken in, my arms were, literally, stick-like, and to top it off, my lack of food made me irratatted constantly and I often fainted and woke up hours later with no idea what had happened. To cut a long story short, I spent 3 months in a hospital recovering, just to be able to go home, where I couldn't even walk around, and am now still recovering. In the beginning before the whole eating disorder thing, I had been at healthy weight of 110 pounds at 5"2. Yes, the exact same as you, and I too thought I had to lose weight, but now looking at myself now compared to before, I honestly looked better at the normal healthy weight of 110 pounds, then now at 94. My skin was creamy, when now its a dull grey color and dry, my eyes shone and now their sunken in, and my hair, once a thick shining golden blond, now looks like a floor mop, thinning and dull. Losing weight is never the answer, unless your very obese, and your health is in danger. In your case, by losing the weight you'll put your health in danger, when in reality your at the ideal weight for your height.
The calorie count on most foods includes 4 calories/gram of fiber, although the body does not really digest fiber well. Estimates vary, but you can assume that no more than 1-2 calories will be absorbed per gram of fiber. Therefore, look at the number of grams of fiber, and subtract 2 x (grams fiber) from the total calorie count. I am not sure how well soluble fiber is digested by the body, so for soluble fiber, you may want to be more conservative.
Do cold baths and showers help you burn a lot of calories?
Your body generates heat when it is cold by shivering. This muscle fasiculation produces heat, just like jogging or walking does. It is one of the bodies mechanisms for survival in extreme situations, in addition to dilating the blood vessles in the skin, however it is not a good way to lose weight. (Note non extreme alternatives in next paragraph below) The risks of hyothermia, frostbite, shock, etc. are not worth it. Losing weight is very simple, you must burn more calories than you take in, so either eat less or be more active or both to lose weight.
YET, you do not have to do extreme temperature changes to cause the body to work harder to maintain your core body temperature, and burn more calories doing it. A cold shower hitting your neck and upper back for 10 minutes at a temperature of 72 degrees is enough to make your body burn lots of calories to maintain warmth. OR sitting back and watching TV with a large ice pack hitting your neck and back (with a T-Shirt in between) for 20 minutes will do just a good a job. Though extremes in this area could be simply a 20 min ice bath as well (but the ice pack or cold shower are 60% as effective as an ice bath).
Swimmers are thin and muscular due to the cold water drawing off the heat from their bodies and the body compensating for it.
Does the negative calorie diet work?
Yes they can do. Negative calories will help your metabolism speed up which is a natural way to lose weight. It also means you do not always have to be hungry, like on most calorie controlled diets. it's down to the type of foods you eat, and if they are negative calories (which is good) or the type commonly found in junk-food or fast foods.
i'm not sure of the exact answer but maybe you could work it out on the basis that a player runs 3.6 miles on average in a match. hope it helps!
How many calories in an apple?
HOW MANY CALORIES IN AN APPLE
Here are the calorie counts. The amounts vary slightly in relation to the type of apple.
How many calories can you eat if you weight 90 kg?
Anybody can eat as many calories as they would like...if you are looking to lose weight, eat less than 2,000 calories a day. If you are looking to maintain your weight, eat just about 2,000 a day. If you are wanting to gain weight, eat 2,500 calories a day.
Well there's roughly 5 joules in one calorie, so divide it by 5 to find out how many calories there are.
How many calories does it take to gain 1 pound?
How many unused calories is what's important here. Remember that you're burning calories just sitting around- about 80 an hour or so. You burn at least 1000 calories in a day just breathing, thinking and so on.
A pound of fat contains roughly 4082 calories. So you'd have to consume 4082 calories beyond what you burn in a day to gain a pound of fat. Conversely, you'd need to burn 4082 calories more than you consume to lose a pound of fat. That may seem like a lot, but realize that an extra hundred calories a day, everyday, over the course of a lifetime can really add up, a pound a month, 12 pounds a year.
A pound is equivalant to 453.592 grams, and 1 gram of fat is equal to 9 calories. Therefore 453.592 grams per pound*9 calories per gram of fat= 4082.328 calories per pound. But in all reality all of those calories wouldn't be stored as fat. They could be stored as protein or carbohydrates, which both contain 4 calories per gram, so plug in four instead and you get 1814.368 calories per pound. So calories needed to gain a pound are 1814.368 to 4082.328 calories.
Only 800 calories??? Wow. Everyone's body is different, but you could probably go up to 2000/day if you're are exercising.
Does drinking ice cold water burn calories?
First it is important to note the difference between a calorie and a Calorie. By definition a calorie is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree Celsius at one atmosphere pressure. What we commonly call a Calorie (with a big C) is actually a kilocalorie, or 1000 little calories.
Since body temperature is 37.5 degrees Celsius and there are apx 997 grams of water in a liter, we burn about 37,000 calories (37 Calories) for every liter of almost freezing ice water we drink.
If we drink the recommended 8 cups/2 liters of water per day, 74 calories isn't much compared to a 2000 Calorie a day diet, but over a year that's around 27,000 Calories burned just by drinking your water ice cold instead of warm!

How many calories should a 145 pound woman eat?
Hello! I weigh that much too and go to a nutritionist every weekend, in addition I am a kinesiology student and will inform you on the fitness portion.
To sum it up, 3,500= 1 pound of fat. Thus, with a combination of dieting and working out, you can loose at a healthy rate 1.3 pounds a week.
Your diet should range from anywhere from 1,200-2,000 with exercise at all times, without that you can gain weight.
The key is incorporating food groups and lessening the amount of fat percentage in your diet. You have to consume 1,200 calories of food such as, high fiber, protein (over-easy eggs or chicken), poultry, veggies, fruits, etc.
With working out, if you want to loose weight on a 1,200-1,500 cal diet you can loose up to 1 pound (depending on weight) to 2 pounds if you burn 600 cals at the gym 3-5 days a week.
Running one mile at moderate speed: 100 cals.
Target areas that are high in fat, resistance train, rowing machines for arms and abs, planks, squats, JUMP ROPE, SWIM, or walk 5 miles a day.
Hope this helps!
