Not being an expert on coins, I can only relate information from a coin dealer,who is of the opinion 'state quarters' will never be more than face value.However, those that did not enter into public circulation, might be worth somewhat more than twenty-five cents. The only quarter that is at the present time,worth more than face value,is a few Wisconsin quarters that were wrongly minted. They can be worth $400 to $600 depending on the appraisal of the buyer. A roll of uncirculated state quarters will be worth a small premium. But so many state quarters were minted that a roll of circulated coins will be worth face value only, and probably will be for decades to come.

Canadian cents, including the 1974, are copper colored, because they're made of or plated with copper. If you have a gold one, then someone other that the Royal Canadian Mint coated it with something else.

The 50,000 Dinar note was issued in 1992 and in uncirculated condition is worth $2.50, in Very Fine condition (used, but uncreased) it is worth $0.75.

A quick overview:

For uncirculated and proof coins there are additional criteria related to the coin's condition that are the province of numismatic grading experts, many of whom have to pass qualification exams or otherwise become certified graders.

There are many counterfeit coins on the market, so in many cases it's also necessary to look for signs that a coin is fake. E.g., sloppy lettering, incorrect weight or size, etc. Like looking for forged paintings, it can be a very difficult task to sort out real coins from skilfully-made fakes.

Various companies publish current market values for coins (see for example Numismedia.com) that can be used, a bit like the stocks pages in a newspaper, to determine what the current selling and buying prices are for each item.

If you mean it was completely missed and there is no image at all on it, it is worth about $4-5. If you mean "misprinted", it would depend on exactly what the error is, but most Jefferson nickel errors are only worth a few dollars. There is no Washington DC mint.

It would be spectacularly valuable if it existed because it would be both Canadian and American. Canadian cents had a maple leaf on the front. US cents minted from 1909 to 1958 had wheat ears on the back.

I bought this coin when I was in Canada after seeing a TV promotion. Leter I searched the web to get information on that "rare 1911 cook island" coin. To my surprise there was no information whatsoever in the web! Was there really a rare 1911 cook island coin ? The replica coin was purported to be sold by NATIONAL COLLECTOR'S MINT. But there is no reference of this coin in their web site. Is this a hoax played by someone to make quick money by mis-using the name of NATIONAL COLLECTOR'S MINT ?

ICCS Certified MS-62 seen it for $200-$300.

Average condition on EBay seen it for $10-20.

All depends on how many minted and condition.

Please do not clean your coins especially your old ones,

it's definitely not worth breaking the letter opener to get it out. it's a common date and has no precious metal in it.
