KOIRI OR KOERY--This is a caste which is originated from MAURYA VANSH or KUSH VANSH, known on the name of twin son of LORD RAMA(another being LAVA). After the Kalinga war, THE GREAT ASHOKA(58th line of KUSHA) decided no further war. After that many soldiers were unemployed and subsequently they had chosen agriculture (mainly vegetables) as there profession. The land use for the growth of vegetables is known as KORARD in local language (PALI, MAITHILI & MAGAHI) in the region. Yes Kushwaha are the Thakur caste . They used to have large lands under them and big havelis. But due to gambling and drinking problem . They sold their lands and become landless. I also add that
there is a mistake for the info you provide. The Maurya, Saini, Kachchhis, Malis are not belong to the Kshatriya or the Kushwaha community . These people are not kshatriyas . They are the low castes of the ancient India. By populising this belief that these communities belong with us you are degrading our community because people will start to give their daughters in these communities and thus the degradation of our community . Have you ever seen the true Rajputs to give their daughter in the Maurya or other castes ?
Try to get the marry in other Rajput castes so that we can restore that dignity that we have lost with the run of the time.
Normally, marriages between the Sagothras (meaning same gothras - i.e., with a person having a brother/sister, cousin brother/sister relationship) are not allowed as per sastras. If that happens then there would be no difference between a man with the sixth sense and animals without the sixth sense. This is mainly to allow cross breeding system wherein the descendant children will be more healthy / intelligent without any born defects. If these defects happens to a child, then unknowingly about their sahothram they would have married. Scientifically, marrying in a different gothra person (i.e., other than their own gotra) is always good and it has been proved. Even a person marrying the sister's daughter is also not advisable(this is done in some castes to avoid the property being distributed within the family and to avoid the property distribution if married to other gothra man).
Therefore, in the case of the girl being from Suparnasa gothra and the boy being from Kashyapa gothra - marrying is advisable and there is no harm.
Why is maruthuvar caste is mingled with navither?
The Maruthuvar, in olden days they were the doctors for Kings. They followed Siddha to treat patients. That time, people were not used to cut their hair, rather they grow. When they got wound, the "Maruthuvars" removed hairs in the wounded area. So apart from treating people, they knew hair cutting.
Once British came to rule India, they introduced English medicines. Later, our traditional medical practices vanished. People also started trimming their hair, in the name of fashion. So these "Maruthuvars", started doing the job of cutting hairs.
So there was no separation like "Navidhar" in olden days, after British came to rule "Navidhar" became a community. Then our Government joined "Navidhar" to "Maruthuvar", saying same community people.
But in this century, many started beauty parlours and doing the same as Nacidhars or so called Maruthuvar. Will they be added to this Maruthuvar community.
