Kittens can start to eat wet cat food around 4 weeks of age when they begin to wean from their mother’s milk. They can transition to solid dry cat food around 8 weeks old when they have developed their teeth and chewing ability. It's important to offer a variety of food textures and flavors to encourage healthy eating habits.

If a cat has a crinckled whisker can you remove it?
Old whiskers periodically fall out on their own. Pulling a whisker out, before it's ready to go, can be very painful for the cat. I would just leave the crinckled whisker alone. Having a crinckled whisker is not going to hurt the cat, but pulling it out will hurt.
If you really want to, I suppose you could clip the whisker, instead of pulling it. But that will require you to use a sharp object -- like scissors or a nail clipper -- around a squirming, un-cooperative cat's face and eyes. Which does not sound like a good idea to me.
Where can you find a vacuum commercial where the cat sneezes?
nowhere! it's a vacume commercial:)
Idiocracy, anyone? It IS spelled vacuum. And, I haven't been able to find this commercial anywhere. As you probably have already learned, there is a "how it was made" video, but not the stand-alone commercial.
What is in Friskies wet cat food?
Friskies is a supermarket brand cat food, and supermarket brand cat food is the worst food you can feed your cat. Most supermarket brands -- such as Friskies, Purina, Whiskas, Fancy Feast, Tender Vittles, etc., etc. -- are made with extremely low-quality "meat." It is actually really disgusting. These brands are made with all the leftover animal parts, including ground-up chicken beaks and feet, cow eyeballs, intestines, and something called "Animal Digest." Animal digest is essentially a mishmash of leftover parts; it can include rats, roadkill animals, and animals that were euthanized at animal shelters -- including dogs and cats. That's right, cats. These brands also include something called "ash," which is burnt animal remains. It is absolutely revolting.
Luckily, there are better foods available, made with high-quality meat that is fit for human consumption. They are more expensive than supermarket brands -- up to $2 a can -- but they will keep your cat healthy, and will add years to his life. It is well worth the money to keep your beloved pet healthy and happy. And in fact, you will most likely save money in the long run: since better cat food means a healthier cat, you will save hundreds, even thousands of dollars on veterinary bills.
High-quality cat food brands are sold at most pet stores, including Petco, Pet Stop, and petnetdirect.com. Some high-quality brand names include: Innova/Evo, Weruva, Max Cat, PetGuard, California Natural, Instinct, Prairie, Natural Balance, Solid Gold, Merrick, Wellness, Eagle Pack, Newman's Own, WYSONG, Precise, etc., etc.
If you really cannot afford to buy this food for your cats, then Iams brand is an acceptable second-choice. Iams is a supermarket brand, but it is of a higher quality than most supermarket brands. It's not as good as Innova/Evo, Weruva, Max Cat, etc., etc., but it is better than the other supermarket brands.
Also, although it is not strictly necessary, it is a good idea to feed your cat both wet and dry food. Wet food is more fatty than dry food, so a diet consisting of nothing but wet food can potentially cause weight problems. But more importantly, dry food helps scrape plaque off of the cat's teeth, giving him healthier teeth and gums, and better-smelling breath. My personal favorite dry food brand is Innova/Evo: most cats love it, and it makes their coat super-shiny and soft.
Also, although it is not strictly necessary, it's a good idea to give your cat some variety with his diet. Having variety in your diet is good for humans, and for cats too. Also, sometimes cats get bored eating the same thing every day. Whenever I go to Pet Stop to buy cat food, I always buy a few different flavors of each different brand, so as to give them as much variety as possible. My cats get a different wet food every night, and during the day they get Innova/Evo dry food.

Cats can be pregnant for 61 to 69 days but usually it is 65 days. The right diet is essential for your pregnant cat. Don't get worried if your pregnant cat starts to sleep more and more. Inactivity and rest are perfectly normal during feline gestation. Once labor begins, your cat will start to purr rhythmically and breathe heavily. Delivery can be imminent, but it is also possible that it still takes a few hours before the first kitten arrives. If your cat carries a large litter, she may have problems cleaning herself. Groom her regularly, and clean her anus with a soft cloth - if the cat allows you to. Once the kittens are born the mother can be very protective of them.

Do cats still have their testicles after being neutered?
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. I think there are two different kinds of neutering: one where the cat keeps his testicles, and one where he doesn't.
The male cat that I had when I was growing up still had his testicles, even though he was neutered. That cat died, and four years ago, when I graduated college and settled into my own apartment, I got two cats from a shelter: an adult male, and a female kitten.
The adult male had already been neutered by the time I got him. And he does not have his testicles.
I was not involved with the neutering of either of those male cats: the one I have now was already neutered when I got him, and my parents took care of the neutering of the other one, since I was a kid.
So, I know there are two different kinds of neutering procedures, but I don't know much more than that, unfortunately.
Kitten play always involves mock battles, with surprise attacks, pounces, and leaps. The kitty is basically trying to play, as he would with another cat. Direct him to less painful game play - chasing balls, cords, and so on.
Cat milk is often milk that has the lactose removed, or goat milk. Both are packaged into bottles or cartons and are safe for cats to drink. Cat and kitten milk often have added vitamins and other nutrients, which is especially good for growing kittens.
When do female cats get their period?
Cats normally have their first estrous cycle between 5 and 10 months of age, with the average age around 6 months.
The female cat has 2-4 estrous periods every year, each lasting 15-22 days. If she is bred, estrus seldom lasts more than 4 days.
If successful mating does not occur, estrus may last for 7-10 days and recur at 15- to 21-day intervals. It is possible for an unmated female to cycle every 3-4 weeks indefinitely.
Cats also have an estrous period 1-6 weeks after giving birth, so a female may be nursing one litter while pregnant with another.
Behavior
Since there is usually no obvious vaginal discharge or swelling of the genitals during estrus in cats, as is seen in dogs, behavioral changes are the only obvious signs that your cat is in estrus.
A cat in estrus carries her tail to one side, keeps her hindquarters elevated, exhibits "treading" movements of the hind legs, and seems unusually affectionate. She spends a good deal of time rolling on the floor and seems much more restless than usual. The cat's voice seems more piercing than usual and she may "call" for 1-2 days before she accepts the male
Cooked or raw turkey, chicken and other meats like beef. However these should only be used as occasional meals or treats and should never make up the majority of a cat's diet, unless it is being fed a complete and balanced home-made diet.

Are poinsettas poisonous to cats?
I was always told that poinsettas are poisonous to cats. Several months ago, however, I read an entry on snopes.com (the myths and urban legends debunking site) that said that, despite all the rumors about poinsettas being toxic to humans and animals, they are actually not poisonous to humans or dogs, unless a very, very large amount of them are eaten. And even then, the dog or person probably won't die. They'll just get really sick.
Unfortunately, the entry neglected to specifically mention whether or not poinsettas are poison to cats.
I have included a link to the entry so you can see for yourself.
