Was kaiser wilhem assassinated?

Kaiser Wilhelm II was not assassinated. He abdicated the throne on the last days of WWI and escaped to Holland, turning up at the home of a distant relative, who not only had to take in the Kaiser but his family and another couple of dozen of his retinue. In 1920 he bought a small castle in Holland and lived there until his death at age 82 in 1941. He had at first been somewhat friendly toward the Nazis, but what he really wanted was a restoration of his family to the throne of Germany. His enthusiasm for the Nazis had cooled considerably by the time of his death. By that time the Nazis had overrun Holland, and made a propaganda spectacle and "hero" out of the dead emperor.
