Sabatti made Charles Daly Superior II Hunter O/U According to the Service Department at Charles Daly / KBI, Sabatti made O/U's for them in the late 90's to 2005. One of the model lines they made for them was the Superior O/U's including the Superior II Hunter O/U. Some of the older articles I have read and people I've contacted that own this line of Charles Daly's believe they are as good as or better than the Japanese made Miroku Charles Daly shotguns of the 60's and 70's. Sabatti may have also manufactured their Empire line of O/U's, but I am not totally sure of that. Sabatti is one of the oldest, in continuous business as an arms manufacturer since 1674, and best Italian shotgun makers that currently manufactures Remington's Premier O/U shotguns and the Browning Medalist. I have read articles and reviews from European sources that state that Sabatti's own line of shotguns are as good as or better than Beretta and Browning. I have just looked at one today in a pawn shop. It was used it very good but not excelent condition. I have been looking for info my self. I have found it to be from $500 to $1500 depending on condition and who actually made it. On the bottom of the mono block there should be either PB in a oval of VB in an oval, (as I read erlier) PB means made by Barretta and is the same as a barretta G-3, VB is made by Bernadelli. Need alot more info to realy know but by the serial number I would guess its a German built Daly that depending on model and maker could bring from $1,000 to $25,000. If its a early Miroku build Daly from Japan depending on model and condition could bring from $500 to $1,500. The book is still out on the even more modern Daly's from Spain and Turkey with most taking bad hits on resale over the new price.
