Which is faster the cheetah or the spine tailed swift?
It depends on what you are asking.
If you are asking for verticle flying the Spine Tailed Swift is fastest. This bird can reach 171 kilometers per hour (106 miles per hour) the peregrine falcon can only reach 89 kilometers per hour (55 miles per hour).
When comparing diving speeds the Peregrine Falcon is the fastest. The Peregrine Falcons famous "power dive" lets it reach speeds of 370-440 kilometers per hour (231-240 miles per hour). i hope i helped.

Does a cheetah have a vertebrae?
Cheetahs use the flexibility of their spine to create a spring-like effect, thus allowing them to run very fast. They also possess it for the same reason as any other placental mammal; to support their frame and body.
Though cheetahs can't roar like a lion, they do have a range of noises, from growls to purrs. The most distinctive noise is a bird-like cheep, technically known as a chirrup, and is usually used between the mother and her cubs.
How are leopards and cheetahs alike and dislike?
Leopards and Cheetahs can live in the same habitat (I.e: Africa).
Yes! The cheetah is the most dog-like of all the cats. The cheetah is sometimes called 'the hunting leopard' because of its' use by man. Because of their unusual speed and their easy taming due to their playful and affectionate disposition, they have been kept since 3000 BC as valuable hunting companions by the Sumerians, Pharaohs, Abyssinians, Arabs, Kublai Khan, Mongol Emperors and, more recently, by Russian princes, William the Conqueror and other royalty of Europe and India.

How can a cheetah run that fast?
They have strong legs, thin bones, keen eyesight, excellent hearing, and an extra-long tail that they use for balance during turning maneuvers.
(You will need to rephrase this question) Cheetahs can run like the wind reaching speeds of 71mph, although some Cheetahs (Opinion) are mentioned to run up to 110mph!
they have powerful hind legs
Their lightweight bodies, their long powerful legs that can drive them up to 8m in a single stride, their streamlined body and strong tail.
Generally the answer to your question is no. Cheetah lost all their weight as they evolved to run fast. They are now extremely light and are no match for a leopard. Indeed leopards as well as lions kill many young cheetah before they are old enough to do anything. This is why cheetah have evolved to have large litters as as little as 1 in 20 survive to have young of their own.
Cheetah can be driven off their kills by many animals; indeed there have been documented occasions when wart hogs (who are herbivores) have pushed cheetah off their kill. Part of their adaption to this is to hunt in the middle of the day when all the other predators are snoozing through the heat.
Finally a previous answer states that they could out run one. This is probably true but several things should be considered first:
A cheetah has been clocked at doing as much as 110 kmh, and can keep this up for as much as 700m though after this it will need at least 20 minutes to recover. A leopard has been known to do 90kmh or more but can only keep this up for 60-70m
However a leopard recovers faster. As such a cheetah could probably out run a leopard initially.
However cheetah occur at very low densities everywhere they live because they are so incapable of defending themselves and their meals. Kruger for instance in south Africa (about the size of wales) has a total of 200 or so cheetah, compared to 1000 lions and 1500 leopards.
