Why Don't the Chicago Bears have cheerleaders?

No, the Detroit Lions do not have cheerleaders. Mr. Ford does not like the idea of cheerleaders. He prefers to keep the game a family event atmosphere and thinks that cheerleaders would lead to drunken-male atmosphere that will create a lot of fights and destroy his reputation.

Back in the early to mid 1970's while the Lions played in Detroit (Briggs Stadium), they did in fact have cheerleaders - 7 ladies to be exact. We were paid per game and cheered at the home games only, as they did not allow us to travel to the away games. When the Lions moved out of Detroit to the Pontiac, MI Silverdome, the squad was disbanded. There was a time the Detroit Lions did have professional cheerleaders!

Does Walmart sell Chicago Bears sweatshirts?

Yes, Walmart does sell Chicago Bears sweatshirts, but they are only available online. It appears Walmart is acting as a middleman for a company called Pro Team who actually ships the product.
