"下次见" (xià cì jiàn) is how you say "until next time" in Mandarin.

Chinese writing primarily uses characters that represent whole words or concepts, whereas Japanese writing uses a combination of characters (kanji) borrowed from Chinese, as well as two native phonetic scripts (hiragana and katakana) which represent sounds. Additionally, Japanese writing often includes a mix of all three scripts within the same text.

While learning any new language is language is hard it has been said that Chinese is the hardest to learn. That is due to the memorization of characters for the written Chinese language as there are over thousands. Unlike the English language which is comprised of 26 letters from the alphabet, the written Chinese language are made up of individual characters.

Speaking the language is also tough as they rely heavily not only on the sound a word makes but the tone in which you say that sound. Even the slightest difference in tone will make one word mean something completely different.

Practice is very important in learning Chinese. Without speaking it, it is almost impossible to master Chinese.

You will see both columns from top to bottom and rows from left to right. Traditionally, Chinese was written in vertical columns from top to bottom; starting in the first column to the right side and ending to the left. The best way is to come to China and live among those who can't speak English. That way you are forced to use Chinese. Go to school and learn Chinese in China.

But if that's not possible, take a class, use a good chinese textbook, do lots of exercise and do all the homework as much as you can. If you want to learn Chinese used in mainland, be sure to learn simplified Chinese.

Watch Chinese films especially for kids since the Chinese used is simpler than, say, watching Chinese news.

There are thousands of characters in the Chinese dictionary, but the most commonly used ones number in the thousands. Generally, around 3,000-4,000 characters are considered essential for basic literacy and communication in Chinese.

I recently bought one for our kids, and from what i can see the body and frame are made in taiwan, and most of the engine/drivetrain parts are made in Japan.
