I disagree with your premise. All the people who were first called Christians were Jewish. For 300-400 years after Jesus ascended, most Christians were Jewish. It was only after the council of Nicaea that certain "Christians" put their anti-semitic views into broad practice and banded Jews from "church".
Today it is an extensive opinion worldwide that a Jew cannot be a Christian and vice versa. This is simply a misunderstanding perpetuated by both sides. There are tens of thousands of Jews all around the world who retain and cherish their Jewish heritage/practice who have chosen to follow Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus [Greek]) as their Messiah. It often creates conflict for these individuals, but one does not have to renounce one's Jewishness to believe in Jesus as Messiah.
All that being said, David Draiman's lyrics are often philosophical and/or religious-sounding. That does not make a song, a singer or a band Christian.
